@Metruzero CCP told us that they will have skirmishes, and just PVP battles for Dust players to play in. So if there are no wars going on, then you can just fight in battles that have no significance in the EVE world.

they pay the Dust mercenary company that fought for them money. ( the money used in the EVE world ).

For example:

EVE company needs to take control of a planet, they hire a DUST 514 company to attack

Dust 514 company captures the planet after a successful battle, EVE pays them a agreed about of money.

The Dust company then uses that money to buy better armor, weapons, vehicles, ect. For more battles that are to come.

Get enough money, you'll become the best mercs around.

I hope this game has a lot of the Eve interaction built in... like alliances comprised of mercenary ground forces in the Eve universe. It would be amazing to create a reputation for yourself and your friends as one of the most effective mercenary groups out there :D

A lot of people seem worried about the "trash talking" FPS players liking this game. Just a quip, in any given halo match, there are sixteen players. Maybe two talk trash. The rest of us have been patiently waiting for a game like dust. The fact that I've always wanted to play EVE, but haven't really had the patience for an MMO, but wanted the political structure, makes this sound amazing to me. And there's a lot of FPS people out there who hoped MAG would be what this is and were disappointed.

well i saw that there were aircraft that are usable (probably they are along the lines of the eve fighter/fighterbombers) im pretty sure tho that say your corp was in an area and members of your corp are fighting on the ground, you will be able to provide some kind of support (i hope to god you can orbitally bombard, my drake'd be right there raining the widowmakers)

The shooter is for a console, unfortunatly, but it is an extension of Eve, thats all, the grunts are just hired guns tyat the Eve player can hire, but CCP may realise what an awful gaming platform the 360 is and have the shooter element as a PC.
