The second amendment colors it's discussion with the statement "a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state" with the term militia being defined earlier as an institution governed by the states. There never was a blanket right to 'bear' arms, only the right to bear arms in the context of a militia. You in a state regulated and raised militia? Great, you have a right to bear arms. I think there are some Bibles that are translated better than others, but I'd never say some of the disrespectful things the King James Onlyists people do. Just to add, Most of the things the KJVO people say isn't done out of malice. It's ignorance of holy scripture and when they hear one thing said it gets embellished. An example is that the KJV is the best Bible because it's not copyrighted. It only takes a 5 minute search to find out that it IS STILL COPYRIGHTED. And they don't have a good understanding of how things were translated. Most of them, if you can get them to listen, will change their minds when they see the evidence.

Yes... the Catholics do use a different Bible. THAT IS true. But it's also true that Erasmus was a catholic, dedicated his 1516 version of the NT to the Pope and he died a catholic,. Just do a quick search of Erasmus and you'll see the truth. He did have some issues with the Catholic church but he never joined the Reformation.

I was a Christian my whole life until early teenage years. I still have faith with God and Jesus Christ, but I'm not sure if they ever are there or can help me.

Obviously you have no idea what it means to be a sovereign. Furthermore, you may not realize this, the police are not ALLOWED to openly carry that kind of fire arm, unless there is an emergency....he looked pretty calm for a guy having an emergency!

do you know what was going on at the airport that day? he's at the airport remember. Was the threat level elevated? maybe a dignitary was coming in and there was increased security. I know when police are allowed to carry a rifle. I read the ops orders regarding it. No reason to give him shit for doing his job though, is it?

Tell you what....as soon as they start checking all of cars, trucks and cargo containers that come into this country, I'll sit by and feel good about having guys with machine guns walking around....Let me as you, when they come to take you away, do you think it's going to be the army? they do check them all. and then they check again to try and make sure nothing got through, as in dumbass's border patrol inicident. And it wasn't a "machine gun", it's a rifle. You say you're a lecturer on Emergency Preparedness? SO why can't this police officer be prepared if something goes down? You of all people should know it's better to be over prepared than under. I myself have a BAS in Emergency Management, so I have a specialized knowledge in that area.

1. They only check about 10% of cargo containers (look it up)
2. You are right, I don't know if that rifle was fully automatic.
3. What is he going to be "prepared" for? A gang of gunmen rushing the terminal? The purpose of his presence is SOLELY as conditioning.
4. The Government has no responsibility of protecting you or me.
5. I believe in PERSONAL preparedness, not relying on Government to protect me. Let ME carry a weapon and have the police do what the are supposed to do.

Yes, believe in personal preparedness because the gov't can't be your personal security guard. Defend yourself when the police are not there to protect you, and then call them for help. I myself am NEVER with out my sidearm.

Not sure how many of you know this but this guy has filmed several times that he was pulled over and claiming that his rights were not being respected. Question, why would a guy go around hoping to get pulled over so he can film them? Oh, and also, the Declaration of Independence is not a "legal" document. And if you want to bring up carrying arms, read the entire amendment, it is pointed towards keeping a militia, not towards private citizens.

No, the Militia is the People, themselves.
It is the entire able-bodied citizenry of a community, town, county, or state, available to be called to arms.
It was assumed rather than large standing armies, the Militia (citizenry) would use their private arms to defend the nation against all aggression.

I can assure you the Declaration, signed and created by Congress is a legal document.
The 2nd amendment reads, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. "
Militia is the citizenry.
It is declaring the citizen being armed is necessary to a free state (not a police state, dictatorship), they have the right to own, carry about and fire/use weapons (guns, swords, etc) for protection & game.

The US Congress was not created until after the Revolution and then after the Articles of Confederation had been done away with and the CONSTITUTION WRITTEN. OOOOOOH, seems you need a history lesson or maybe just a simple education. Ask any lawyer, the Declaration cannot be used as a legal document in court. Oh wait, you forgot to do that simple act? CONGRESS was a term used for a meeting of delegates, sorry to show your ignorance to everyone.
