thanks for you reply, i am running Safari Version 5.0.5 (6533.21.1), i don't know why it didn't upgrade to 5.1 the control>command>f doesn't work and there is no option in the view tab, i am currently trying to find a download for v5.1 for Lion, it keeps coming up with v5.1 for Snow Leopard, the Software update tab under the  logo doesn't show up with Safari..

why doesn't my safari go full screen after i installed the official Lion OS X release?? any ideas,, did u have to update safari or was it all ready to go after install?

@chrischris093 Try holding down control + command + f when you're in safari, or click on the arrows on the top right corner of your window. You can also do view->Full Screen in the menubar at the top.
