I work here and know this building in and out, lots of secret spots that know one knows about like above the arch infront of the building there is an uncharted room.
The AT&T Building (now Sony) was a touchstone of post-modernism, and first included a 24 foot winged gilded statue holding lightning bolts standing in the lobby. Sculpted by Evelyn Beatrice Longman, "Golden Boy" was breathtaking at night when seen from Madison Avenue. Unfortunately, it departed with AT&T, but perhaps someday it (or a copy) will return to Manhattan, where it is greatly missed.
