WOW I had the same issue!!!!!!!!!! Jon was GREAT! He helped me out and now I have installed the Bosch III injectors in my 89 Vett. WOW......My car has NEVER EVER ran this good! I would like to thank FIC for all the help and support. FIC will always have my business.
He had two dead cylinders since two of them did not spray nothing. It would make the other cylinders use more fuel and run the car hotter.
I had a 1990 Pontiac Grand prix 3.1L. It would not run right it would stall and not restart easy same issues as this guy had.. I replaced a lot of things before I ohm out the injectors. I had two of them which were out of spec. Replaced just those two and it runs perfect now.
There's nothing wrong with them. The problem is we started putting ethanol in the fuel and that ruins the injectors over time. It was a terrible thing to do, but GM shouldn't be liable for changes in fuel formulations they had no way of knowing about.
@sstearns2 ? Ethanol fuel is required by the EPA, there has not been 'pure' gasoline on the market for decades now. Multec injectors also fail in cars outside the USA where ethanol fuel is not even sold.

Thats a joke on some of these shops do not test much of anything anymore. They rather shotgun parts into the engine then say its fixed.

Well yeah it would.
