McConnel is just wrong. The problem with the US economy started with military spending, not housing. The US government literally holds too much debt. Increasing it, is not going to help the economy.

Agreed, also cutting taxes on big corporations, and the upper 1% is another factor to consider in this problem. Then you have massive deregulation for banks, and wall street....a formula that is meant for only one thing...total disaster, but hey...at least the rich saw huge spikes in profit before everything fell apart so...there is that...(that last bit was sarcasm).
