@Sandpaper75 hi yeah i have never needed to boil for sterility. never been a problem there is the obvious keep your equipment and hands clean but the need to keep the ingredients clean has never mattered for me. if you are concerned just use a few camp-den tablets and let sit for 24 hours.
@Sandpaper75 just a thought recently i was making a orange beer with 100% orange juice. yes i juiced 15 litres of oranges a well worthwhile effort if you have excess oranges and the time. at the end i just popped in a camp-den tablet or 4 and waited the 24 hours for the sodium meta bisulfate to disperse and do its job.
hey DOC your a true aussy legend, a guy that shows just what us ausies are all about. your ginger beer brew has been around for some time infact my grandfather used to make it exactly the same way some 25 years ago when he showed me how to make it when i was 8 years old. we used ginger root back then so now we have advanced to powders and so forth. mate i must say i enjoyed your clips so much i watch them for insperation and thought i would drop you a line. cheers for the uploads.
Hi! first of all, what an AMAZING tutorial! I'm new to brewing & I really want to make some ginger beer. I've seen different methods on the net, why do some recipes tell you to boil all the ingredients with the sugar for 30 mins??
Also, what is your views on using sulphites & self carbonating? Once again, thankyou!
@jonoandcat nice set of questions yeah i have been trying to answer you with a video but meh its not working for me need a new driver and after a day at work who can be faffed. ( im a it technician)

Hi friend, enjoyed your videos. One question, how are you ensuring the sterility of the brew if you did not boil it?
