personally I like the stick swinging, even though its not strictly within the tradition. Also like the speed. I'll video Pilgrim of Guildford dancing it in "strict" tradition and put it up here to see the difference in styles.
Ta olimandolin. The musos now play the tune a bit more slowly, so it looks less rushed. Can't remember when we started swinging sticks in Addebury. Was at least fifteen years ago, so it's deeply ingrained now.
Very nicely danced guys. Nice to see an Aussie team doing South Australia. Just a quick note on style, when dancing Adderbury, sticks are kept vertical at all times, apart from sticking, rather than the Fieldtown 'swinging'. But that's just a little thing. Very well danced :-)
