  • IDK y but im scared to do this :((

  • Anyone else want to hear flight of the bumblebee when he's putting it back together? I say if this gets 50 likes uploader edits it in.

  • did you sand that even?

  • Did you just use one coat of lacquer? Has it been scratched off by the pick or is that enough?

  • @Schalbin I used a couple coats of clear paint, it hasn't been scratched off yet but I do have the scratch plate on.

  • @MattCarlBMWZ3 Okay, thanks! :) I'm just done painting my Epiphone Les Paul so it's drying up now :)

  • how long does it take for the clear coat to dry?

  • @Blossom352s depends on which kind you buy, check the back of the can

  • Nice paint job... great work.... recently i hv done a paint job on my guitar... My question is that can i polish the guiter using waxpolish?i am asking because i have used the clear coat.

  • pretty much just destroyed a work of art!

  • does sound of guitasr changes because i have expensive wood acoustic guitar?

  • would have been so much better black with yellow stirpes

  • umm what type of tape u use to cover it? that blue-ish tape for the stripe

  • im doin sumthin a lil different but right after you were done with the yellow, how long after that did you remove the tape??

  • OMG!!!!! I have the exact same guitar as u

  • Yea bud u gotta sand it down b4 u paint plus 1 would think u should use a spray paint 4 wood not 1 4 plastic

  • @TheLegacy1395 stop using damn numbers when you write a sentence! BEFORE*** ONE*** FOR*** ONE*** FOR****!!! GODDAMN THAT IS WEIRD!

  • How did you get the headstock different

  • Could u paint my guitar and how much would I cost

  • Could u paint my guitar

  • Could I pay u to paint my guitar

  • Can I pay u to paint my epiphone sg

  • PROBLEMO HERE! :D What if my guitar has this, like protection thing on the body? You know, something plastic alike or something, that protects the guitar so it wont lose color and so the wood wont get damaged?! I would love to paint it black and make it road worn, but i cant with that plastic a-like on it! HOPE U UNDERSTAND! PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  • @TheMaersk12 just sand it down so that the paint will adhere properly, same thing happened to me

  • @MattCarlBMWZ3 so i should sand the plastic away?? :)

  • I'm not good at sawdering at all. but how will you go about spray painting a les paul jr. mine is a reproduction of a 1954 but i'm not much of a fan of the vintage Sunburst.

  • And that, my friend, is how you totally ruin a beautiful Fender guitar.

  • I have a Flying-V, can I also use these same steps?

  • 7 people couldnt put their guitar back together..............

  • Great, thank you!!

  • k wait just to get this strait ...back plate, Neck plate, Jack plate and pickgaurd k ...sorry that bugs me sometimes

  • im glad u know what your doin!

I wouldnt trust my self with that lol

  • Very nice

  • id love if u spray the pickguard to black and make those pickups and buttons yellow !! that would be divine

  • Seems that would be a shitty paint job using anything but car paint. Guitars take a lot of abuse lol.

  • Van Halen's guitar)

  • note to self, next time dont fuck up!

  • cool man coud you sell it to me.

  • I just bought a kit to build a les Paul nd I needed to learn how to paint it so thanks

  • 4.5 minutes to show how to take the guitar apart in a 7 minute video about painting? If people don't know how to take a guitar apart, they certainly shouldn't paint it ...

  • Awesome! Im going to paint a cheapo guitar I have lying around. A black pickguard or black knobs and pickup covers would complete that guitar.

  • Does anyone have any good tips on how to do a sort of paint splatter/messy painting look on it? With like painted hand prints and stuff, wanna make it look like cool and unique

  • @ReportedTV You could experiment with paint reduced at different ratios of viscosity run through a household plant sprayer-also differing fan patterns of the sprayer and pressure

  • or you could just stick tape over the pieces you don't want done...

  • 4:54 i would leave it there!

  • can you do a tutorial of how to change electric guitar strings

  • Don't listen to this guy, use automotive paint and clear coat. To repair dings you can use automotive body filler. I've painted many guitars.

  • could you give me some advice on what is the best way to fill an indent because mine has been scuffed on the floor, what filler to use?

and what spray paint would you recommend

  • i achieved mine with 1 coat and no sanding :L also i have enamel spray paint , clear lacquer will that be ok for the clear coat?

  • How did u disconnect the wires and put them back? I honestly want to try this but I suck with wires and I don't wanna fuck my guitar up by screwing up the wire part so how did u do that?

  • Very awesime job, dude! ROCK ON!!!

  • You're not supposed to get any paint inside the neck block! It will screw up the neck's angle. The neck block should always be masked, so you just have the bare wood!

  • How did you remove the Squier logo on the neck of the guitar?

  • @EsiDProductions scratch it off with a pick

  • @EsiDProductions actually just sand the logo off with sand paper, it comes off easily

  • how would i paint the scratch guard?

  • what type of paint did u exactly use

  • Ummm will it hurt a warlock if you just paint (not spray paint) the body? even if you dont touch any electrics?

  • Comment removed

  • masking tape!!!

  • where can I get a sauder.

  • That was awesome

  • Also leave the clear for at least a week then sand. I forgot that ;)

  • Guys a few major things to note that matt here left Out. ALWAYS leave the paint for atleast a week to ensure it is completely dry and hard... Then spray the clear. And after you have sprayed your clear sand with fine grit paper and polish it. Ill be puting up a series ony way of doing a paint job very soon.

  • you can also sand after the last clearcoat layer and use car polish to get a mirror shine

  • thats a cool design. im building a custom guitar with a charvel body and a strat neck. and i could tell you, you definitely need to sand between every coat. but great video

  • @TheSkeepondotcom That's gonna look awesome! Yeah for sure sanding between coats will drastically enhance the final product. Thanks for the tip!

  • @TheSkeepondotcom what grit sandpaper should you sand between coats?

  • @runnymeadproductions ive been doing 600 grit between coats and its been coming out good. youll need something finer than that for your clear coat sanding tho

  • Thankss

  • Good that was grate. now hold do we put it back Together?

  • @TheCodyatwar the same way you took it apart

  • @MattCarlBMWZ3 but backwards ;P
