I have the same end can on my super tenere but with the lazer pipe aswell. You can also take the baffle out of my can. Not done that yet but i might do soon
well now it looks a bit different... juzt check out my other films. It seems the shaft has failed at 18 years and 96kkm. I used motul 5100 and serviced the bike religiously.
hi i want to ask you about the medium problems with this bike...ofcourse then they have problems.I want to buy a bike like this and i want to knew something about this model:) thx
hi there are no major problems really. The rectifier is a weak spot and will fry/drain your battery of you don't check and replace it in time. The brakes are weak, but that's just the way they are. I've got 95kkm on my bike and I can't complain about its reliability. It's a good idea to check the valve clearances more often than manual recommends.
I did not rejet carbs after fitting the can and the bike pulled noticeably better.
Then I added a dyonojet set, K&N filters and factory pro emulsion tubes and it actually got worse. Now I am about to get the carbs rejetted and see how that works.
All I bought was the end-can. This is a road-legal pipe, but... I did not buy the connection bit, which, I believe is where laser puts baffle, reducing noise and flow. I had that bit made - without any baffles, steel wool or anything else inside.
This video has very poor quality sound - due to wind and my low quality camera. It gives a very faint idea of the noise. I will try to get a better one. cheers!
