Otherwise, you paid almost double for a car that has very similar performance to a V6 Mustang. Granted, the Ford is no luxury car, but the G isn't worth the extra $ imo.

I've had my '09 A4 for almost a year and a half now, at 21,000 miles and have honestly had no problems whatsoever. My parents had an S6 they kept up to 12.5 K miles and had 0 issues as well. German cars and maintenance are always talked about together but I dunno, maybe something will pop up.

Both vehicles performed nearly identical in 0-60 mph, braking, lateral g, and figure 8 tests with the M3 beating the 5.0 on track by 0.1 seconds.

Sure the live rear axle makes extreme turns dangerous on uneven pavement, but that keeps the 5.0 lighter vs going with more aluminum throughout the body and increasing the cost.

With the BMW you get a much more refined engine, better gas mileage, a much nicer looking car (that is my opinion), and much improved interior with better options that lasts longer and provides a more rewarding driving experience. American muscle cars simply can't compare to German quality.

For the performance aspect (which is why I buy either Audi, BMW, or MB) I'd take BMW. I've already owned both and love my BMW. Audi WAS good, now it steps aside for MB and BMW.

Mustang's only a little slower in 0-60 (0.1s) and 1/4 mile (0.4s) times and can be had with performance pack for $25k. There's no reason to buy this car unless you want the luxurious amenities. @Noahfreak10 Mustangs are fast, well the "expensive" ones at least... but my Infiniti G37S shits on any v6 mustang... (and I actually got the fully loaded G37S for my first car when I turned 16... the BMW 335 was just a little too expensive for a first car at $55,000).
Really looking at the 335iS coupe as a next car for college, if anything just for the looks and the technology(and it can probably still hang around with CamaroSSs and Mustang 5.0, even if it is a bit slower...)

@SaMaster14 Your G37S has 25hp more than a Mustang V6, but the G is a few hundred pounds heavier. So I would say it is "barely faster" rather than "shits on" the Mustang. If you bought your car before the 2011 model year, then yes, your car would "shit on" any 2010 or older V6 Mustang, but this is no longer true. Otherwise, you paid almost double for a car that has very similar performance to a V6 Mustang. Granted, the Ford is no luxury car, but the G isn't worth the extra $ imo.

@SaMaster14 maybe a bit slower in a drag race, but 335is does from 0-60 in 5.0 and in this video they done it in 4.7, so i don't thing Camaros a Mustang can do any better, beside that, put the Camaro and the 335is on a track race and the 335is will win, American muscle get go only in a straight line, and thats it,
And damn man, 18 year old and you want to buy 335is ?! wheres the money come from, is want it too, i live in Israel and the taxes rise the price to 190,000 dollars !!!!

@S1ruMan I love Israel! Traveled there a couple of times.. but the taxes definitely do get to you. $190,000 seems really high though, its only about $55,000 loaded here in the US.
And like you, I'm not a fan of American muscle, and I'm sure the 335iS can do better than 5.0 0-60 even stock... I've seen stock 335i coupes go under 5.

I'm sure cars like the S4 are better on the track, but I love how BMWs drive, look and feel. That's just me- we all have personal preferences. There's no real purpose to arguing over what's better since we all like different cars for different reasons.

I'm sure there are a lot of other cars that can go toe to toe with this, including the new challenger. However, there are a lot of subjective factors that make people like the cars they like. I like BMWs and how they drive, so I like this car a lot.

i have this car, the 2010 model, and i think mine looks better. i dunno but i like the boxy look of the 2010 model. also it's just as fast after you put dinan in it. i think in 2011 you can't chip it without voiding the warranty anymore because Dinan and BMW have stopped sleeping with each other. Do we need to worry about 335i's breaking down as much in the 2011 model as 2010? we'll have to wait and see.

Impressive, but I would stick to the BMW 335i coupe. Its cheaper and almost the same in performance. The "S" means spend more money. In some ways the 335i is actually faster than the 335is, such as slalom.

That was my choice too. I took an S4...now I take the S4 to the shop ALL THE TIME. Audi's are awesome cars and a blast to drive but maintenance on them is a beast.

I always hear people talk about how Audi maintenance is a hassle and have people ask me if it's worth the investment because they hear nothing but upkeep horror stories. I've had my '09 A4 for almost a year and a half now, at 21,000 miles and have honestly had no problems whatsoever. My parents had an S6 they kept up to 12.5 K miles and had 0 issues as well. German cars and maintenance are always talked about together but I dunno, maybe something will pop up.

@commiekid16 It's more so the older Audi's that had problems. But BMW's are also problematic, they always have electrical issues.
