Hi There, Just a suggestion, you should check out the you tube video of Chef Arne in Solvang. It's very entertaining, and he'll show you how to make easy, authentic aeblskiver (Skandinavian round pancakes). He runs a restaurant and clearly knows his way around this process, and is so fun to listen to!
But it looks like you folks had fun, and hopefully had a nice feast. All the best thoughts to you. :>
@captwasabi He didd! also that slap wrap thingg and the Cabage Patch Kid! but then sold the right look up Phillip D. Bart inventor on google! if you dont belive me
@SuiteLifeFan12345 Well, considering that ebelskiver date back to the Vikings I highly doubt that your grandpappy had anything to do with it but do keep dreaming.
The aebelskiver on the left that was dumped on the plate has a smiley face on it! :) Uhhh...turn the fire down a little and don't cook it that long! You can always turn them again if they are not done.
Interesting C: and I'm sure theres many words for a "Pancake puff" so we can all just agree to disagree :3 well I'm seriously considering buying one of these so from this they look really good! Seems to work nicely too I think I'll buy one.
Dumbest ass video EVER! I don't know which is worse: 3 idiots to make aebelskivers, using a fork, burning the hell out of them, putting them on a disposable plate or the HUGE bag of trash on your kitchen floor! Please, don't ever invite me to eat in your squalid kitchen, you drunken idiots!
Boy you guys are entertaining. There are some people on here who can make aebleskive. If you want biscuits, for crying out loud, bake some in the oven. These do not look good. Your fire is way too hot. I grew up on these as all Danes have. Practice and come back & show us what you've learned.
aw dude, im 13. that makes me sad. your turning them with a fork! what r u doing! this is danish and there not frickin "pancake puffs" there aebleskivers! thats just a stupid remake of the awesome aebleskivers. thats sad, wow
i find it amusing when they call it aebleskivers :p
but not mad, the only thing about americans doing them is the fact that some company sold the aebleskive pan and claimed to have innovatively invented them. lol.
Looks like you had the burner on a little too high. At least yours turned out better than mine when I had my first attempt. Did you really get the Pancake Puff pan? The reason I'm asking is because I went to Big Lots and I bought a similar item called the Perfect Puff pan. It's the same durable cast iron (non-stick), easy cleaning, flipping sticks, flavor filler, gourmet basting brush, and confection sugar shaker... minus the handle mitt and cook book, and I bought it for $10. *shrugs*

This should be the black and white fail of the infomercial, Introducing the PAN, simply pour in the batter and in 30 seconds, you have pancales!!

pancake puffs is the american-interpreted form of aebleskivers, the pan itself was broadcasted as an infomercial for these treats.
it's just a different word for a diferent country, still the same product.
SecretAsianBoi 2 years ago
They are pretty similar to the Dutch "poffertjes" too.

Stop calling them aebleskivers.... It's an aebleskive, more aebleskiver... No reason to add the s... It's already in plural...
