I've never seen arms can moved like fluid like that. Each move are perfection..As I know, Swan Lake have a white swan character too.. did she played both characters? because it's very difficult since black and white swan are completely different character..
She got hatred due to the enemies' envy in her country. They didn't realize that they just made her stronger and the best in the World and now they've lost her forever. It's so pity that dull persons have a high power in the Universe. May Maya has a long and healthy life!
@repn87 Legend has it that many, many years ago. Plisetskaya’s fouettés, which were normally overwhelmingly rock solid , fell apart in spectacular fashion one even while performing at the Bolshoi. She felt jinxed by the step in that ballet after that and refused to do them from that point on. She had no hesitation about doing them in other ballets ie Don Quixote, etc, but never again Odile in Swan Lake.

@irenecabrejos33 , I quite understand what you mean, it is a quality that only very few artists have and Maya has it. Just being on a the stage, standing still, they have force and charisma, it is very strange, but it is real and it is perceived by us the audience. If you have not read her memoirs "I, Maya" try to find the book, it is fascinating.
@kabardinka1 She proved to possess excellent health - she is still alive! And all this amazing vitality, considering the fate of her parents and family! What she must have felt dancing for those who destroyed her parents, and yet she is such a genius that she surely loved the dance. What a persona, what a life!!!

she is the best dancer as far as I know.
