I used to listen to Midnight Drive all the time during a hot summer early 90's. I love Stephen's playing, vision, feel and compositions. I would love to see another solo-album.
I got my 1992 Jackson Soloist Coral Sea color from Keyboard World back in 1992 and my friend got a Soloist with a Saturn graphic! I remember the great staff and great service! Does anybody know if Keyboard World exist today?
Hey Stephen! It's Tom, formerly of the Mike Davis Band. Hope things are going well. You sound great as ever. I remember playing that Carvin at the Clubhouse in South Plainfield NJ. Thanks for letting me borrow it for a song or two. Good times! Keep up the awesome work.
I love how every note sounds written out. Not even my favorite guitarists sounded that way especially if you see all the live clips of big name guitarists. I traded Jason Becker vids with a guy on Guitar War who mentioned he lived by Ross and talked to him regularly. He was so nonchalant about it, lol. Probably was immune to his guitarness after a while hehe.
man.. still can't believe it, after so many time listening his CD back at the old days..till now I still can't figured how he plays like that.. you're the maestro Stephen..and the great thing about you, you're just too humble and kind guitar hero.
People who talks crap about his music and playing, well i think it's just about preference. but he's out there making music and play his heart out till now..so what makes you that thing he's not good enough? so ridiculous ..
These guys literally do not notice as their hair grows while they are practicing until one day, they have to keep moving it out of the way. Then, still they have to practice a little bit more because there's no time to cut hair when the recording session is just around the corner. The hair is a symbol of their dedication to doing nothing but playing guitar. Not eating, sleeping, only bathing because it's hard to play with armpit smell.
I thought the long hair was just a typical hair style of guitarist! I never really looked at it that way, just something guitarists do to stand out. Pretty cool though! Maybe I should grow my hair out like this :P
This guy is amazing, so what about the hair it adds excitment and life. People that run down other players are themselves asholes. We are all keeping the same dream alive. Now you lot should join in and appreciate other talent then people might appreciate you.
Man its great to see this!! I want to see more live performances from the Midnight Drive album..any more out there?? thanks for the excellent playing!!!
very cool stuff man
