@AnimalFreaak Part of the rat mating ritual is that the girl makes the guy chase her. If a female rat is not interested (i.e. not in heat), she will put up such a rough fight that the male rat will not try to mate with her. Also, male rats generally do not approach female rats to mate. The girl actually initiates it by approaching him but then makes him chase her once she's got his attention.

I agree. Only licensed breeders and people who actually WANT about 5-10 more rats to take care of should let their rats mate. I haven't heard of neutering/spaying of rats, but it might deem useful here. Also, why film it? If you aren't filming for educational purposes, and you know that no one is sick enough to masterbate to this, why film it?

Here's a funny story, I don't suggest you do this but My friends brother bought a rat and the mom didn't know and one day she saw a tail hanging out of his sleeve she asked what i was and when she saw the rat she scream so much but let them keep it and now the mom like rats and will even hold them!

I suggest, depending on your age, you try to be as financially responsible for them as you can. As long as you assure them, and prove it by being responsible, that you will give them all the care they need, and that your parents won't have to take care of them, they might be inclined to let you have them.

If she's got a phobia, forget about it. But some of them are very energetic and sociable. This, of course, depends on the rat. I've had one rat who was like a dog and another who was the devil incarnate.
