but what barre chords is Marty playing?

Well, the actual key of the song is A major, so when Jason is play a G shape, marty would be playing some variant of an A major chord. I saw him use both the 577655, and the open position x0222x at some point, but you could play it any number of ways. As long as you are playing the progression A maj, F# min, D maj, E maj, A maj, for 2,2,1,1, and 2 bars respectively, it really doesn't matter. Try different voicings to see what works best for you, and, more importantly, what sounds good:)
