I never denied that the Quran contained violent and what could be perceived as anti-Judaic and anti-Gentile verses. However, the same argument could be made for the other two Abrahamic religions whos holy books also contain such verses. The idea is to move away from fundamentalism, which I think Muslims can do and many already have.

I considered the following facts, as reported by the US goverment, in my model: the Islamic immigration to the US totaled a little above 2 million by 2008, I aslo considered the US MUSLIMS BIRTH RATE 2 times as much as the US general growth rate!!!!!, and current muslim population is 6 million, I also assumed the conversion rate is growing 10% per year... The result was in order to reach 6million the conversion rate should have started at 8100 americans per year and reach 300,000 in 2008

Believe it or not Islam is being accepted more in the last decade than ever before due partly to media coverage, which is trying its damnest to give Islam a bad name but some people are instead studying it.. Regarding people leaving, i don't know what the ratio is for genuine converts but probably few leave as converts are usually some of the most active people and you would know if that was happening. Considering that Lebanon is roughly 40% Christian that isn't much of a feat. America did the same with the election of John F. Kennedy in the 60's who was Catholic in a predominantly Protestant country. I've been defending Muslims on this clip but simply denying Islam's problems isn't going to help you. The Middle East and N. Africa are incrediably intolerant of other religion (generally speaking). I think that point needs to be recognized so change can occur.

I never denied that the Quran contained violent and what could be perceived as anti-Judaic and anti-Gentile verses. However, the same argument could be made for the other two Abrahamic religions whos holy books also contain such verses. The idea is to move away from fundamentalism, which I think Muslims can do and many already have.
