I think it is a real tribute to Koji Kondo's musical genius that so many amateur musicians, many of whom grew up with Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time etc., love the music so much that they just have to learn to play it. So there are so many wonderful interpretations of his music.

Uh, did you read the description of that video, though? He says he learned it from Obesecat -- which means both are exactly the same, except he takes it slower and repeats more. His is more thorough probably, and maybe better for beginners (like me, lol) but they're both the same unless he changed it up a bit.

Oh, okay. Well, both sound fine to me. Then again, I didn't really play Super Mario 64 that much as a kid, so I wouldn't really know the song that well to be able to hear a difference.

I don't mean to nitpick, but at the beginning the first one (G, D, G, A, B, D) you have that right. But the second time it's F, C, F, A, B, D. You're playing F, C, F, A, C, D. The C (in the series A, C, D) ruins the chord because it's supposed to be a B diminished 9 chord in second inversion. Playing a C instead of a D takes away the 3rd of the chord and makes it an Fadd4, which doesn't really work in the key of G major.

It's really not hard at all, I think. The hardest part is getting the hands to match up, and that doesn't take much elbow grease to perfect.

I have done about half of it now. It has took a while because I have not been able to simultaniously get on my computer and play the keyboard. I have also had exams but I'm getting there.

It isn't that hard it just takes getting used to like whenyou have to hold the G and move the other notes down by one. I have still to do the part after that.

the wrong way sounds more diminished than major which means for those who don't know music, example C major consists of C E G, C to E is a major chord, E to G, is a minor chord, C E G is major go down a half step for minor, which would be C E Flat ang G, Diminished is 2 minor chords which C Diminished would be C E Flat F sharp, thats diminished for augmented, C augmented would consist of 2 major chords C E A Flat would be augmented, try this up a half step and see what you get. diminished EVIL!!
