  • Long Live Cartoon Network!!!!

  • great cartoon networks

  • @willafeltman MMM HMM

  • In my opinion cartoon network today sucks. They are trying to be too much like nicklodeon and it's not working for me! I liked it when they had ther own swagger to attract an audence and they were chessy, but in a good way. But today in 2011 the network is just an annoying, unfun, cartoon resource.

  • @Casper20Ink its not even cartoon anymore, they have all those stupid reality-type shows..some of them got lost, which are awesome, but its still not the same.

  • @chumshot1 I Understand

  • @DarkShadowRage2 Too Bad

  • Ah, memories...

  • @SilverZeo88 Yep

  • My childhood was awesome!

  • @MysticTrunksHQ Mine 2

  • I always enjoyed the commercial type from 0:15 and those types following it. They always followed a certain theme: eyes, mouths, hats, objects. I wonder where Fred Hickener is now. Morocco, let go of your hips already. CN and Nickelodeon always repeated animation for promos beck then. I never knew there was a James Bond jr. cartoon. I wonder what CN was trying to prove with their action commercial 1:46. I also wonder where that TV exploded too. Where's that "Toon World News" satellite now?

  • @NewYorkS4U IDK

  • yea I HATE the direction CN is going in.... unbelievable. putting lady gaga and megan fox in clips, censoring curse words.... Adult Swim is supposed to be for the older people, CN is supposed to be for kids. I grew up on that.... dont get me wrong, I watched AS when I was younger, and now too but man.... I want the old CN back.

  • @WWEfan779 Me 2

  • the warrior with the double sword in the "hard rock" promo is...? i remember the cartoon...but the name.

  • @merryprankster691 Galtar. Short, mid-'80's Ruby-Spears show that seldom aired on CN's action blocks.

  • @SuperAdventures Thanks man (or girl) you are great! i love the old Cartoon Network.

  • @SuperAdventures you are great!

  • This really goes to show how much of a sham Cartoon Network has become these days.

If it wasn't for Adult Swim, I wouldn't bother watching it at all

  • WHAT GAYLORD DISLIKED THIS?? >:(

  • Please tell me what is the name of the cartoon at 1:51

  • VHD was probably as edited as hell when it aired.

  • 5:57 - Oh, I sure will, because some moments in those shows are guaranteed to have you $#!+ your pants laughing!

  • @Ian16545 5:55, actually...

  • Who is The devil of cartoon network who needs see what a wonderfull years he must have?

    A - Red Guy

    B - Mr. Mean

    C - Ben 10

  • I want the toilet seat.

  • Out west, we'd get to see these shows three hours earlier. Which meant if "Toon Heads" was being shown at midnight Eastern time, the kids on the west coast could see it at 9 pm. I believe it was sometime around 1998 or 99 they changed it so that a program would start at the same time slot in both the eastern and pacific time zones.

  • Ah man, this was what childhood was like for me! Getting to watch all those great cartoons they showed, though I was too young for the stuff they showed late nights. LOL Gosh darn it, CN today has absolutely no shades of the one from the 1990s-early 2000s. Damn shame! Thanks for posting this on YT man!

  • this makes me wanna cry i miss the old cartoon network

  • Who was the guy watch Daffy Duck? What show was he from?

  • Vampire Hunter D was a show on Cartoon Network?

  • VHD, along with the other two anime, are movies, that were shown together in a block.

  • what is the namn off this song? 0:16

  • 2:13

    lol tv explodes

  • I so love those musical checkboards station ID, they should have been used more often or perhaps ALWAYS before the beginning of a cartoon and animated serie.

  • 2:46 I though Grouchy said they were green (from the "Go Ask Cartoon Network" promo that aired a couple years later)

  • I miss the old cartoon network :P

  • Don't we all. :(

  • I miss my childhood, these bring backk old memories

  • HOLY SHIT!!! James Bond Jr.! Wow!

This vid is straight up pure nostalgia! Awesome upload!

  • driving down nostalgia ave.

  • By the way, what's the name of the song in the Hard Rock Action cartoons promo? Don't they sometimes play that song in the circus?

  • Thank you so much for posting the Hard Rock action cartoons promo! I've been wanting to see that kick ass commercial again for years! I really wish CN would show these cartoons and promos again. This reminds me of those good days. Coming home from school on a Friday to watch stuff like this. :)

  • 1:47

    wow...SWAT Kats!!

  • You can't have the toilet seat. Other people might need the toilet seat, put it back!

  • @beepbeepgac That's what he said...

  • Cartoon Network used to be awesome, but these past couple years they have really been going downhill. It's a huge shame.

  • LOL i remember i entered that dog bowl contest to try and win a Sega genesis. man time flies

  • Awesome collection of CN promos. Thanks for the upload, especially for the last promo ("Right now...") Been looking for one of those for years. xD

  • wow i renember have seen the world premier of the power puff girls, jhonny brvo, dexters lab jajaja and other somes thet never show up again like that one of the duck putting himself some kind of juice jajajajaja

  • 2 Curious Dogs are Warner Bros./Chuck Jones' Dogs

  • Yeah, I remember them from the WB shorts. I take it that, to draw comparisons to the "2 Stupid Dogs" they called them "2 Curious Dogs" even though I don't think they ever had official names. Clever. XD

And for those of you who may be wondering, no, I didn't record the results for the "Dog Bowl", nor do I know who won the "Dog Bowl". My guess is Scooby-Doo, who'd go on to be re-run more times than ANY of those other dog shows combined throughout the rest of the '90's and the early '00's.

  • Your guess would be correct, as Scooby-Doo did win the Dog Bowl.

  • LOL, is that so? Guess that was the first sign of favoritism for the Great Dane from Cartoon Network. None of those other shows would go on to be as whored out as "Scooby-Doo" was (and still is) by Turner & Time Warner. Closest was "2 Stupid Dogs", which at the time of this recording had just been canceled with just 36 (or so) episodes, which CN would re-run into the ground in subsequent years, due to lack of any newer programming!

  • ALL ABOARD THE NOSTALGIA TRAIN.

  • toonheads and ed grimley wow that brings me back

I remember the Ed Grimley SNL skit where pat sajack

  • What was the name of that Martin Short cartoon at 6:43 again?

  • "The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley".

And I apologize to those early viewers for having taken down this video last night. I did so because the HQ version of the clip had wonky encoding, so I deleted it and uploaded it again. You can come back now!
