My hamster got settled in on the fist day before evening, he drank,ate,pooped,ran on his saucer,climbed in his tubes, had fun! I traded him for 1 I got now and the other 1 just hid ALL DAY ALL NIGHt he was cute but this one is cuter :)
im so sorry to be bothering you but i have another question lol well i kinda have two (sorry) well the first one is i don't know if to get a teddybear hamster or a chinchilla after dusty (my hamster) passes away and if i do get a teddy bear hamster at the end when it says tips if you fell your hamster is nipping, wash hands carefully as they are almost blind and can think your hands are food"what do you mean by that? im i hope you dont find me being mean please respond sorry its long. thank you
@penguinswaddles 1. hamster lives for 3-5 years(teddy bear) and chins live up to 15 years huge commitment. chinchillas are bigger so expensice its harder to keep it also depends on your age. chinchillas not for anyone under 16. So its your choice but hamsters are easier to keep. 2. in morning teddy bear hamsters cant see well only couple inches.if you feel them scratch or rubbing teeth on hands properly wash b/c ur hands can smell like food. hello i have a hamster and after he dies im planning on getting a teddy bear hamster because they look so well behaved i am writing down the rules right now so i could tame it and i have a question, in the beginning it says not to take them out of their cage fortwo through three days but could you pet them? please respond. thank you:)
@penguinswaddles wut i meant was for the first 1-3 days, just let them get used to your persence dont touch them as of yet. On day 6 when they actually sit on ur hand, use ur other hand to pet them. Dont pet to hard or to rough. Use like three fingers until there fully tamed and then you can cup them. Also be sure not to touch their ear or face for awhile, some hamster don like it. Hope I helped and wish you luck. Be sure to take care of ur other hamster in its last days.

its not smart to pickup on the first day cause they will be stressed out from the trip home but ask store guy to see if he alredy tamed if he is then let him sit for like two three hours and then slowly start picking him up :) this method will definatley work i spent a week creating it and it outstandingly worked for me. and as for the bite, my binoo never bit me so i really never felt a hamster bite but with wut people tell me it doesnt hurt. most of the time they dont draw blood.
@HellsAngel1389 Although my hampster just escaped into the wall cause the latch broke off his cage and we didnt know it and we tried everything but we havent heard from him in 3 weeks so I think hes passed :(
@jolteon654 aw!!!!!! That is sad :( But the little guy might have a chance. Try this. For everyday of this week, in the middle of every room put your hamster's favorite food. Banana, apple, pear, carrot, broccoli etc. Put a generous amount! Then surround it with flour. Then observe each room for a week. If your hammie is alive, he'll probably come for the food all the while leaving prints and tracks leading to where he went. Then close in and catch him! Mnwle close up big gaps.GOOD LUCK FINDING!
@HellsAngel1389 thx for the idea, but he took ALOT of food from his cage when he left, and we heard him chewing insolation for a burrow nest thing and we havent heard since. who knows? maybe he went into hibernation.
if you no the location of the wall try sitting around with treats. srry bro but i don no wut else u can do... wait. heres a crazy idea, if you really do luv ur hamster buy an oppsite sex hamster and leave the hamster in the cage near the wall he ran into. Maybe with some luck he'll come out to mate!
@jolteon654 seriously try it out its the only thing you can do! and if you dont get him back (im srry) keep the new hamster but if you do get him back but cant keep the new one return it, petsmart accepts them within 14 days. plz try it that hamster is unlucky and you should have hope in him your his only hope if hes alive. if he died uv probly gotten a stench by now, if theres no smell hes probably alive. I hope you find him i feel so sad now :( try it plz!

I was told by a few people to just pick them up on the first day and they will be ok once they know your there ?
does this video method work and does just holding it straight away work ?
AND does it hurt when they bite ? :P
