To this point I've only punched shows manually; on a Phillips DD-35 switcher and, what I believe you've got sitting next to you, the Ross Synergy 3 series switcher. I've only been working in TV for about 3 years and I've only been a full time Director/TD for a few months. However, I've been looking around at different job postings and I'm seeing more and more stations using MOS overdrive systems. How is it going from manual punching to doing the whole one man band thing?
@michaelkks Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately the industry is changing. Automation will be mainstream in a few years. Either adapt or loose your job. I hate people who bitch and moan about automating newscasts! Yes. It can be done. I've pulled countless "clean shows" on this system.
I dont know man, something about one guy doing the whole show by himself is kinda wierd. My station just ordered the overdrive (aka the job taker 3000).

I'm an overdrive director from WCTV in Tallahassee. Great videos, man. Nice to see how others are managing the show.

Im going over to the switcher to make manual adjustments (downstream keyer, aux feeds, etc..) are easier to manipulate via the switcher.

@unitedmls Yes the music is NECESSARY! Mute your speaker if you don't like it. Matter of fact get off my page if all you're gonna do is complain.
