On the wide North Sea Channel it feels like sailing on a freeway at 70 km/h, though in the heart of the crowded Amsterdam region where even trains can't make that average speed. A nice trip to do if you spend time in Amsterdam. A bus service can bring you back at 30 min intervals, or further on to walk on the beach.
