The REAL JESUS was a Jew who died almost two generations before Christianity was invented. I doubt he'd care about American politics or politics of any kind. It seems that he preached the ten commandments, righteous living and being responsible for your own sins. As far as America goes - take your pick ? Are any of them anything but liars, greedy war mongers who care nothing but for their own wealth and attainment?
Some ot these right-wing republicans, with their smug looks on their faces, seem so sure if God was in the room with them he would give them a big pat-on-the-back with a huge shit-eating grin and say "Well done, my good and faithful servants." Many of them are gonna be shocked, when instead they're gonna get the "I never knew you" speech.
I knew it! Jesus was a socialist (not the same as communist; in fact, it isn't even very political per se)! Hehe, the Republicans, the Westboro Church (Fred Phelps) and other Christian extremists are IDIOTS. They are an embarrassment to Christianity and to the entire world. ;)
I think it's clear that Jesus wasn't too into "politics," but mostly because government didn't serve EVERYBODY. He was homeless, hung out with homeless, at least one prostitute that we know of...
If he were forced to choose between parties, it's obvious he'd go Democrat. Republicans simply aren't much interested in helping the poor.
jesus was a dude from the middle east that was simpathetic to the poor, hung out with a prostitute and rebeled the authority. the idea that he would republican if he were alive today is fucking hilarious!!
If you believe you need a leader then you have been brainwashed. All the leaders we have had with the exception of two were all corrupt and puppets of the Vatican. Lincoln and Kennedy both wanted to demolish the Fed. Reserve. Read Executive Order 111110 which would have allowed us to eliminate the deficit by printing our own money with NO interest. Power to create is the same power that corrupts.
Funny, if everyone obeyed the ten commandments there would be no need for gov't. Power corrupts, period. Who needs a leader? I don't. I also obey the ten commandments. Self-government is ideal as long as you do not interfere with anyone else's right to live in peace.
I know it's 7 months late, but I feel I should say this anyway.
The phrase that you mentioned, "Separation of Church and State", is not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution. READ IT YOURSELF. People have tried telling you it's in the Constitution when, in fact, it was in a letter from Thomas Jefferson to Danbury Baptist. It's NOT IN THE CONSTITUTION.
Also, "...respecting an establishment of religion..." (which IS IN the Constitution), means no law can be made supporting, against, or that even involves the subject of religion. To make any law for or against anything religious is unconstitutional. Every law that has been made to silence religious speech is a law respecting (involving; about) religion.
You betray what your perspective really is by saying that the right wing wants to take away people's rights. That is an out right lie. I agree that Jesus wouldn't vote for anyone, because he would not place confidence in man, but your hatred of the right wing is also not something that Jesus would approve of.
the problem in this world is that people give lip service to jesus.they claim to be christians but in reality they are not .the pope is a false leader he sits on a papal throne and is surrounded by wealth and gold and treasures .jesus is apalled by the churches actions and realises that hardly anyone upholds his guideing principles of love respect compassion mercy truth forgiveness.but soon this system of things will come to the end.true belivers in jesus do not endorse candidates who want war
Well, Jesus knows and knew then, that people would never just naturally or voluntarily adopt His principles. One genuine believer & follower at a time might, but it is prophetic that the world would become ultimately corrupted, and that's exactly what is happening.
"that people would never just naturally or voluntarily adopt His principles."
Plenty of kings, armies, people, murdered men/women/children, took slaves, multiple wives, slaves, sex slaves, raped including children when god told them too.
