You will still be able to use many Picnik tools as part of Google Plus, so although the website is closing, I don't think it's the same as being gone. I think I will use Google Plus just to use the Picnik tools :)

I love to use Picnik! I am disappointed, too, that it's closing. The email I received from them said they're closing "to focus on even awesomer things" with Google products.

(For Premium members, they're refunding the full amount regardless of the amount of time left in one's annual membership. Nice!)
