@matteroffact06 Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. One thing to do is check that you modified the URL like I show about 30 seconds into the video. Also, in the blank page can you right-click it and look at properties to see if the movie URL is in the box marked movie?

OK I did this but when I play it as a slide show, it wont let me move to the next slide when I click the mouse....I have to press escape and go through all the slides again to get to the right place. Is there anyway around this?

@nursepatient Sorry you're having trouble. Check that you are modifying the URL as shown at :37 and you may want to try adding the video without using the custom box. Make sure you set loop to "false" as shown at 2:12.

Doesn't work! After doing all your steps, all I see when I start the presentation is a white box which was supposed to be my video! Any idea why?

Go to Slide Show in the menu, click on View Show, and then find the slide where you embedded the video. You should be able to play the clip from the YouTube "play" button. Forward a couple of seconds and then stop. You should then see that image when you go to the Normal view in Powerpoint.

Use ZillaTube to download from YouTube...... at fast speed to your computer, and also convert so easily to powerpoint video file.

Then just insert that video into your powerpoint

just google for "zillatube" It works awesome.

Try all the steps again and it should work for you. If you don't have the custom box look at the video at 1 min. 48 seconds to learn how to get around this.

Or the video might have embedding disabled. Try it with a different video and see if a different video will work. if it does, its the author making it so that you cannot embed that specific video into another program or location.

It works great if you use "zillatube" :---)

It helps you convert to mpg format and embed into powerpoint easily,

and present them offline without the internet at all.

Also helps you play them. (and also convert them) e.g. convert to mp4 or mp3 for ipod/itunes, mp3 player, mpg for windows movie maker editing/windows media player, USB flash drive, handphone, and more)

just google search for "zillatube", and select the first search result for download...

No worries if you don't have a custom box. At minute 1:47 I show you how to do it if your version doesn't have "custom" box. You'll just paste the URL in the "movie" box and set "playing" to false and "loop" to false.
