My grandfather used to keep apples wrapped in paper just like that. In the three huge drawers of a ancient workbench in his garage. A very effective method of preservatio, from what I could tell from the dozens I must have scrounged. Happy days.

In the last episode of the last season, he had hurt his foot on a safari in Kenya. This was necessary because the Goods had been flooded out, and because he'd been hurt, Margo had to help bring in their produce. This was just a carry over from that ep.

@graccers Not weird at all. Although it is very hard work and you couldn't really sustain yourself with just a front and back garden and an allotment. You would really need about six acres.

@Razieluk to be fair they do have massive gardens - I know someone with a garden that size and they grow enough fruit and veg for the whole year round.

so I guess if you had a big front garden then you could do animals and stuff too - and there is only two of them don't forget!
