My grandfather used to keep apples wrapped in paper just like that. In the three huge drawers of a ancient workbench in his garage. A very effective method of preservatio, from what I could tell from the dozens I must have scrounged. Happy days.
@daedralord1 yeah I know that - I meant why is he walking with it? I just wondered if it was ever mentioned - or if he had hurt himself - other whys it was just Paul Eddington hurting himself in real life ..... which is fine - I was just wondering!
@daedralord1 >>>ive no idea, i dont recall him using it in later episodes...i could be wrong
In the last episode of the last season, he had hurt his foot on a safari in Kenya. This was necessary because the Goods had been flooded out, and because he'd been hurt, Margo had to help bring in their produce. This was just a carry over from that ep.
I've said elsewhere that when this was first shown it was said that half the male population secretly fancied her... the other half made no secret of it whatsoever. :o)
Red Dwarf did a gag about that in the opening of one of thier episodes. "The other day we came across an asteroid shaped exactly like Felicity Kendal's bottom- we flew around that one a couple of times."
@graccers Not weird at all. Although it is very hard work and you couldn't really sustain yourself with just a front and back garden and an allotment. You would really need about six acres.
@Razieluk to be fair they do have massive gardens - I know someone with a garden that size and they grow enough fruit and veg for the whole year round.
so I guess if you had a big front garden then you could do animals and stuff too - and there is only two of them don't forget!
@graccers it looks perfect to me, much better than this rat race, thing is I suppose, this being tv, everything always works out in the end, I'm not sure the same could be said for reality
@graccers They did give the impression they enjoyed their life, liked being together and were happy with their simple life. Sounds better to me than being a slave to a job and living beyond ones means.
Oh please upload some Ever Decreasing Circles. We will be very grateful! I used to watch that show years ago on public television in New York. One of my favorite British sitcoms.

Margo's dress at 2:30 is beautiful -- very different from Margo's "joke" outfits.

Has anyone ever tasted home mad pea pod wine ?
ThorSpirit 2 years ago
No - but my Dad used to make Elderberry wine and that was the driest, sharpest thing I ever drank ! - he could brew a great Stout though !.....
sarahnewt 2 years ago 2
The wine kicked Jerry so bad that he had to set the glass on the table with his nose still in it..the magic is that he did it so subtly.
