My first job after getting out of the Navy was with VT-3 @ NAS Whiting Field in Milton, Florida. We did ground maintenance and moved the T-28s from the apron to the washrack and hangars. Saw a T-28 do a belly landing. Less than a week later, it was flying again. Rugged aircraft! Love the sound of that radial.

It's Wayne Pearce's '28 - it's marked very similarly to a few examples in the US...hance the confusion. This is an Australian one.

The info from the Airshow program says that Wayne Pearce brought it to Australia in 2004.
