I went to Clearwell Castle after zep had been there in the basement and the room had been left as it was when they rehearsed there. Parachuting hanging from the ceiling with the walls all soundproofed. It was a special moment entering the room that they had rehearsed in.
In the late '70's (77-78) it was always rumored that Page was working on a concept 2-LP about death for the band and that it was recorded, but it was never finished and shelved. And then they released "In through the Out Door"...which went in a totally different direction. If anyone can shed any light on this, let me know. Thanks for the upload, sounds great.
This is an outtake from the early rehearsals - shaking out new material before they went to Polar Studios in Stockholm to start recording 'In Through The Out Door' during the winter of 1978-79.
As Zeppelin fans/historians know, the album was originally planned to be a 2-LP set, but they trimmed it back to1 LP and 7 songs. Three tracks from these sessions: "Wearing And Tearing", "Ozone Baby", and "Darlene" were later released on 'Coda' in 1982.

What a riff, Bonham's drum sound is like a Jackhammer. Can't understand why this was never released officially.
