  • My dad had a 1972 Cab over Pete. He was leased on to KeyLine Freight. It was blue and white striped. That was when guys who drove truck were hard core! I know that I couldn't live all week out of a cab over. You had to lay down to take your pants on and off. When you crawled of of the bunk you looked like you had just gone through a war. 13 speed, air ride, and a 350 cummins. He was the king of the road in that truck. My hats of to the truck drivers of that era. REAL TRUCK DRIVERS!

  • @jerryh9770 I would much rather have a COE from that time than a conventional with a sit-in sleeper. I still have nightmares about trying to make a bed or keeping the inside of one of those clean.

  • cut my teeth in a '78 cab-over Pete....4 1/4 kitty kat, 13 speed dual straights...rode pretty decent, as far as cab-over's go. I put "ghost" chicken lights on it!...The period correct, "mandatory" front axle Ghost light's..( that shined while the aluminum alcoa's were turnin! ) back-lit marker lights on the bottom of front bumper...etc
