My daughter used those large whole dill pickles as 'teethers'. She LOVED them, they were cold and felt good on her gums. She basically sucked on them just like she was nursing, so when she was done the entire top of the pickle was about 1/5 the diameter it originally started. Lots of babies just love sour tastes. You CANNOT get brain damage from 20 of them. My sister did a contest and ate 100. And it would worn you on the package that eating to many could harm you. It says that it could cause soreness to sensative tounges and mouths, but they couldn't even sell it if it was true. So don't go around saying things you dont know, MrGrimmy2. No it wont! That is not bad parenting. If the baby didn't like it, she would have started crying and pulling away from it. The face is just because its sour. At that age it's GOOD to be experimenting with taste buds. Do you have children? I think if you did, you would understand there is nothing wrong with this!
