I use Audacity... it's a good free audio editor. If the DVC is set to high quality, you must export your project as a 44.1 kHz, 16-bit mono WAV. Standard quality requires 11.025 kHz, 8-bit u-law files, and I'm not aware of any free audio editor that can export files to this format. Personally, I try to stay away from standard quality unless absolutely necessary, and use high quality whenever I can.
Not sure I understand your question. You use Audacity (or whatever program you want) to edit audio files, and you use Verifire Tools to download them into the DVC. You can use any program you want to edit the files, but they must be in one of the two specified formats or VT won't accept them.
NICE! the nfs2-3030 is a REALLY nice panel to work with, and that wiring job is impeccable! Really, really nice work man. So nice to see brand new state of the art fire alarm technology at work.
My Aunt's work had the same problem with her alarm. Sometimes construction can set it off several times a day, like when dirt, or dust get into the smoke detector's camber
This wasn't a false alarm... we were testing a new system we were installing. We activated it intentionally. As you can see from the panel, it was activated by pull stations.

Are the exit signs so close to the floor so if their is smoke and your crawling on the floor you will see it?

I guess. I didn't install them, so I don't really care.
