  • i'm sorry ISIS but i can't let you disband, you will be together forever in my heart

  • wow love this stuff. I'm always looking out for music like this. Its amazing how many good bands are out there waiting to be discovered!

  • I saw them with Jesu and Logh in 2005. They headlined the show - and I left pretty soon after they started. The opening acts were worth the money, though!

  • Tool, thank you.

  • I found these people and i love the music!! I especially like the name...

Cause my name is ISIS!!! WHOO

  • i think i have found the greatest metal band ever! i can't believe i didnt find out about them sooner. love this album more than i love pancakes, and pancakes are good !

  • .I.

  • & i didn't find they were very good live. i actually fell asleep when they were opening for jesu during their oceanic tour, i believe it was. maybe it was just that show though.

  • pretty much in love with this album.

  • GOD I wish I had a chance to see these guys before they broke up. :(

  • I just finished drumming to So Did We, and now this. I can barely type this comment my hands are so fucking tired. I just can't put this music down.

  • Have seen isis a few Times. My favorite travel.

  • Amazing how a riff can make you think about so much shit.

  • Always Object Never Subject Can You see Us? Are we there? Are we there... Can You see Me? We are watching We are watching... You are fading... In the Daylight... Fading... • hujowe, nie słuchałem

  • @Virgilivs87 lmao..

  • 0 dislikes... nothing left to say, the music speaks of itself...

  • Perfect

  • I think Panopticon might be their greatest album. It's just fucking devastating. It makes me wonder way too much.

  • I always think of the Patriot Act when I hear this album, because of its surveillance theme, though I am glad Isis chose not to make any overt political statements, makes us think for ourselves that way.

  • it's amazing. i had the shittiest week in recent memory, life's not working out the way I quite want it to. I do a search on isis, this song pops up so i play it. all of a sudden the world makes sense again. I love music like this. Very emotional song.

  • @dbork

bands like isis helped me keep my sanity and courage through dark times

  • I explode in my pants every time 2:37 comes on.

  • @Balthic I also explode in your pants around 2:37.

  • Thanks for the video!!!

  • If I ever have a real band, I'd like to play this kind of music... experimental, full of feeling, heavy, long songs, etc.

  • @rmmartins133

Let us know when you guys get together, man. The more post-rock/post-metal bands, the better. haha

  • hairs stand on end for most of this track

  • any vocalists of this style in essex u.k, please message us

  • @TheNewBelieversBand Singwise or growlwise? (Not in the area, not country but still).

  • any vocalists of this style in essex u.k, please message us

  • reminds me of joy division only more metal

  • This is excellent music. Good Progressive Metal right here ladies and germs.

  • I dont know why, but i get this bitter/sweet and optimistic feeling from listening to this song (anyone else feel that?). Its so rare to have metal songs with a happy feeling to them, and its even rarer that you have a metal song provoke so many emotions like this does.

  • always object!

  • @cartemw Given that you're saying that like a command, you probably don't get that it's meant as you are always seen as an object, not as a person. Not criticizing -- just letting you know.

  • this always seems to remind me of hot air balloons, there's a video there somewhere, maybe.

  • Panopticon and Oceanic are two of the greatest albums I have ever heard. Cant stop listening to them.

  • mientras estaba en una tienda de discos (Cape Cod), pusieron esta canción y les pregunté quienes eran...acabé comprandome el cd....el principio de la canción es lo que más me gusta

  • this and in fiction are the best isis song, so beautiful. first they conjure the beauty of the music by painting a visual imagery with the instruments, then they splash it all over the mind with aaron turners haunting vocals

  • ahhh can't believe they broke up......but they are smart about it....just read their blog

  • I like turtles.

  • @Wyndrax yeah you do.....

  • I discovered isis by hearing this song on pandora internet radio. It knocked me on my ass. I loved how it slowly built up layer by layer to an awesome crescendo. I had never heard anything quite like it. I've been hooked on isis ever since. If an asteroid were about to strike the earth and I was about to face death, it would be to this fucking song.

  • RIP ISIS. I enjoyed seeing you live so much, it´s hard to express.

  • One of my favorite parts of this album, 3:50, and the whole song of Altered Course. After listening first to Oceanic, this album had to grow on me...and now I will never take it out of regular rotation till the day I die!

  • 23,173 people that know what real music sounds like

  • Not a single thumbs down. Fitting for one of my favourite songs.

  • Great Music we need more bands like this!!!

  • One of the best songs on Panopticon, after Altered Course. Their BEST album (by far - they're all good but this one is PERFECT)

  • man, this band sounds so fucking good. They actually have a positive sound on this album. Inspirational

  • Anything that is influenced by Neurosis is mind blowing music, The Ocean, Isis, Pelican, Mastodon, Minsk, Burst, Gojira to name a few...

  • masterpiece

  • This song always brings a little wetness around the eyes for me. It's just a beautiful song. Favorite Isis album.

  • not my fav, but I think it's their morst unique consistant sounding album. Every track carries the same theme. Know what I'm saying?

  • atmospheric wonderfully flavorful lol now i want a strawberry milkshake and a fat joint by default lolol

  • TRUE =)

  • LOLed :)

  • isis beast album beast band

  • Panopticon is their masterpiece

  • I have a really hard time choosing between Panopticon and Oceanic. I love them both to death!

  • Yeah youre right. Both are incredible albums.

  • me too after oceanic I think there all masterpieces.

  • Great song.

  • these guys are great. I hope they come to portugal one of these days...

  • Ja man , der sound rockt einfach nur, vorallem wenn mann besoffen nachhause laufen muss !!!!^^

  • ja mann

  • I seen em' live twice in Spokane

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha................. damn that was a random and toatlly unexpected comment on your part hahaha.

  • I enjoy milkshakes!

  • As do I ! They are both milky and shakey !

  • This is, quite frankly, one of the best comments I've ever read on here. AND I'M NOT EVEN LACTOSE INTOLERANT, WORD!

  • @brewcrew01984 of course you will enjoy milkshakes to this music.

what sets isis apart from all other bands in this genre is that they set out to create the ultimate milkshake soundtrack with each and every track. pelican tried to go down the salty cracker route...less said 'bout that the better. the only reason that isis broke up was due to a band member (who will remain unamed) going soya!

  • that was an even more random reply...I guess the whole world is full of randomness

  • wow! why am i just learning about these guys?! they're amazing!

  • Oceanic is a life-changing album. It has deep potential to heal and inspire

  • I never said anything about religion, nor did i say it was magic, you implied it yourself moron.

  • You did in fact say the words 'magical power', which to me is in the same neighborhood as 'magic'. This means I did not really imply anything that wasn't there. And the bit about religion was merely to distinguish depths of spirituality from superficial dogma or ritual of 'ordinary' religions of the fundamentalist majority. Like I suspected, these things are beyond you. Maybe someday you'll evolve, or begin to inquire into your experience, and then you'll know what I am talking about.

  • @rrippp I agree bro, if I hadn't heard oceanic my taste in music would be forever lost. That album has inspired me to even start a band. Tho we will never be as epic and inspiring.

  • @cvela20032003 Don't sell youselves short in advance fellas - you might be brilliant. I play music too, and I just focus on playing my own shit - if I compared myself to my heroes it would crush me into never playing a note.

  • @rrippp yeah, we'll see somewhere in the near future... hopefully. whats the name of your band? I'd like to check it out if possible.

  • @cvela20032003 I don't have a band right now. I am auditioning for a soul/RnB type band on Thursday, and I'm trying to start another band that plays more progressive, heavy rock-type stuff (not unlike Isis). I have a lot of stuff written, I just need to find the right people to collaborate with, and that's the stage I'm at now.

  • @rrippp thats awesome man, tell me how it goes. Good luck with your music.

  • @cvela20032003 Thanks for the encouragement bro. Good luck with your stuff too. I sent you a friend invite - confirm it if you want to stay connected, and I can give you a heads up when my projects have some music released

  • @rrippp Good one!Made me lol literally! *LEGALIZE IT*

  • @HOUSTONFUKD4F4K3 Legalize what?

  • btw i said OCEANIC was a life-changing album. have you even listened to Oceanic? i don't think anyone who gave this album a decent listen a few times would deny that it's powerful stuff.

  • agreed...oceanic is in my top 3 albums...id put panopticon in my top 10 buy oceanic has so much raw energy its amazing...the album flows perfectly.....panopticon is an entirely different beast....but thats what makes isis albums so special (even ITAOT) is that they never make the same album over again, always progressing

  • yeah. all of their albums are masterpieces in different ways. they've never made one that wasn't rooted in something deep and true, whatever the style it comes out in.

  • exactly lol...its so subjective to the listener...

  • umm i do like isis i'm sayin if they go ,ainstream their music probly wouldn't sound as good as this

  • if anything their music is sounding more abstract maybe too much so...the great thing about this album is that it was produced perfectly and made post-metal sound so much more acceptable...

panopticon and times of grace by neurosis are my favorite post metal albums

  • i'm glad these guys aren't that well known cuz if they were like every1 else their music would probly suck

  • you're right thought. when popularity comes into play and they get really famour it will alter their sound. srryforowningu is right

  • @DrumShag1986 see this is what the industry needs. People need to buy records because the music is actually good. If the product is great everyone will pay

  • @Vipmaxp Damn right !

  • @Vipmaxp Or just pirate it and/or post it on youtube. :'[

  • @NicoNegron lol

  • @DrumShag1986 listen to from sinking. its their best song by far.
