  • Thank you so much for this lesson, James. You're a champion !!! Keep up with the great work.

  • nice one! Its about time someone started putting decent lessons on youtube

  • Super!

  • Thanks

  • weather its fender or maton there both really great guitars.Fenders really good in my opinion it also depends on what model you like.I have a black fender dg60 acoustic. It plays really well and has a bright sound.Maton is also good my friend has one of those.awsome tutorial expainled it really good.

  • Thanks again, in the end the guitar does not matter, if you can't play it then doesn't matter how good/expensive it is :)

  • fender is just as good as maton.i got mine on sale for 150 when it was originally 250 its a fender dg60.it plays awsome just like any other guitar. it doesn't scratch up easily like yamaha and the others its pretty sick guitar in my opinion.Maton pretty cool too you can make any guitar sound cool even if its not fender or maton. And by the way awsome tutorial dude u explained it really well

  • Thanks

  • THANK YOU! great video. i cannot stop playing this! xxxx :)

  • Thanks, it's a great song to play I always enjoy this one.

  • Nice. Always good to see an Aussie doing this instead of an American

  • Thanks, glad you liked it

  • hey im from Australia to just one question what kinda guitar is that is that a fender because my mate has one lol i might be getting one for my birthday or Christmas :) right now i have materiz but its getting a bit warn out because i have had it for i few years plz reply back as soon as possible :)

  • No it is definately NOT a fender, in my opinion the acoustic fenders are overpriced (in Australia at least) and they are crap!!! Mine is a Maton EM225C, a far superior guitar than the fender, if you have the cash than I definately recommend one!!!

  • Hi - can't believe how good u can explain this nd how simple it can be to learn for a beginner like me - THANKS, tehre are lots of good lessons out there - BUT you do it for me - I am very thankful and HAPPY learning from you - greetz from the other side of the world - music unites!

  • Hello I am French, I do not understand all the explanations. Can you send me the tablature please

    westox@hotmail.fr

    thank you

  • WOOO GR8 TEACHER ! 10 STARS!

  • Thanks

  • Hello! I notice that on the E chord you dont pick the E A D and High E B G strings that states on the description. I think you pick it like the way you pick on the G string on this order E D G High E B G. IMaybe I observe it wrong? I'm having difficulty on the F chord of yours, I'm used to the Bar Version.

  • It is entirely possible that I did play the E like that, I actually play it both ways, because I have played it so many times I don't really think about what I am playing so I kind of switch between stuff or forget what I played earlier.

  • Thank you so much, for the first time a took something of a video, everyone else sucked, though you rockde

    ps: GuitarSwedenAB

  • Thanks, much appreciated!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting as good videos!! 5 of 5 stars!!!

  • and thanks for the comment!!!

  • You rock =)

  • Thanks, much appreciated!!!!!

  • Hello, I have been playing guitar for 1 weak. I can already play Knockin On Heavens door .what should I plat next? Do you have a other easy song?? Your the man!

  • Most of the songs I have posted are realatively easy, try Every ROse Has It's Thorn, Good RIddance (Time of Your Life), Shivers, To Her Door, Let It Be With Beginner Version are all good beginner songs

  • this is an amazing tutorial!!

    thank you so much!!!!

  • and thankyou for your kind comment

  • is there a place where i can hear your full version of this song, because i have been looking for it, and i really like it

  • i also want to play along

  • thanks so much this helped a lot :)

  • No problem glad you liked it!!!!

  • I cant really see what keys your pressing...

Uugh, I need to learn notes !!

  • Learn the chord shapes and what the strings are and then check out the info tab beside the video for which strings to play. If you don't know the chord shapes yet the chord diagrams at the start of the video tell you what frets to hold down. This song is not a beginner song so if it is too hard try one of my other lessons like Knockin On Heavens Door for example.

  • Oooh thank you I'll try knocking on Heavens door. But do you thing Traveling Soldier by Dixie Chicks would be an easy song, too?

    Thanks !

  • Never tried to play it but probably not.

  • Thanks for the lesson, it's great!

  • and thanks for the comment

  • if your struggling with the F form a D chord and slide it up to the 5th fret, voila, you now have an F!

  • Thanks, but I didnt quite get the picking. I dont see the pattern, do you mind explain it again?

  • Or wai, is it: A-D-G-E-B-G, for each chord?

  • That is correct for the C and Am chords the others are slightly different (you need to hit the bass note of the chord or the low E for the G and E chord), check out the info tab beside the video for full explaination

  • Got it, thanks!

  • Thanks!

    Obrigado

  • No problem

  • wow do you do the F chord?

    I don't no you way for F!

    Hug

    Portugal

  • Check out the chord diagram at the start of the song.

  • Very nice, thanks for the lesson

  • Thankyou!!!!

  • the best teacher i ever have ..... Awesome job !!!!!!!!

  • Thankyou very much!!!!

  • Handsome Alvin a very handsome thank you

  • and thanks for the comment

  • thank for your immediate reply. I have see your lesson clips, i would be happy if you could do little music theory with begineer lessons on scales.

  • I don't like scales I find them boring I prefer just to learn to play guitar by playing a variety of songs!!!

  • Thank you.

  • and thanks for your comment

  • i really like the lesson but you would make it easier if you write down the strings you are playin

thanks a lot for uploading it really helped me 5 stars!!

  • THanks and good point, I will add it to the info tab when I have a chance. It is pretty much just play all the notes in a chord except some chords you are skipping strings so I will write it down to clarify.

  • now it is perfect! xD thanks. :DD

  • NIce lesson

  • THanks

  • wow dude i was sing this song in chour in my school now i can play it :D

  • Excellent, well done.

  • hello, thank you very much for these lesson... I really really like this song..its from the movie Shrek... ;-)

And awesome because you don't need a capo to play this song..

  • Thanks for the comment, yes it is from Shrek (I mentioned that in the video) that is the Rufus Wainwright version which this is based on.

  • hey, could you please do 'you found me' from the fray?

  • Sorry don't know the song.

  • that's ok :) do you know tiny dancer, foo fighters version?

  • No I don't but I just had a look at it and it sounds great, I going to learn it but the lesson video may be a while as I like to record a version with vocals before I do a lesson on it.

  • yea it's a great song, i can play it right bt the muck up the strumming. thanks for looking into it

  • The strumming just sounds like:

D DUD DU for each bar.

  • sounds more like a DDDU DDDU

  • nicely done, any chance of doing a lesson on an acoustic version of you know my name by chris cornell?

  • Thanks, no sorry I don't know that song, the only Chris Cornell song I know is Like a Stone.
