@Stimchi It is against most characters but for grapplers like abel and Zangief it's pretty risky. That's why most Cammy players do the dive kicks low (ground level) to avoid punishment, does that help?

@Buttplugbetty you rushed yourself, this hooligan is incredibly fast you can't even think about punishment, and there is no defense at all, that's what i'm mad about. Abel's anti air grab is ridiculous, you can just set in combos period, it's not like a shoryuken that hits the 3 stances at the same fucking time. Cammy is too damn good i insist. To win with Abel you have to be a real combo master no bullshit, i know coz i play with him. It's way harder than play with akuma or the jap hero ryu

@felipebrasil5 Crouching fierce c.medium kick punishs hooligan or c jab amongst other things.You must work on your reflexs cause its really not that hard to punish learn to anticipate it.Defense wise ex roll ex tornado throw to punish block strings the only thing you have to worry about is the cannon spikes thats what really makes the matchup hard to deal with.Learn how to keep her out of close range.i play abel and cammy amongst many other characters and you dont need to be a combo master

abel vs cammy is easy ex cod beats all her moves only guard breaker she has is spinning knuckle and when she baits the grab crouching fierce as she jumps.... its a mind game but this is all in ables favor.. wait and punish cammy cuz he has no choice but to cannon spike eventually or she will each (light punch) command grabs all day if she tries to back dash

Have you ever played a good cammy player as abel?i think tiers are shit cause they give the same with Cammy vs balrog,And that matchup is all in rogs favor.Cammy is one of the toughest matchup for Abel, i speak from experience as a Abel and Cammy player.Once cammy gets going theres very little abel can do, the best punish he has is if its a blocked arrow he can T.throw but other than that i really dont know match he can do then ATTEMPT his BnB

Since Xyiience brought it up I'll compare it to that match. If akuma gets going sagat is dead but if sagat gets in a couple of times akuma is dead after a couple of combos. Ad a cammy player once I'm on top generally the round i mine but all it takes is abel predicting some of my fadc and tornadoing me and I'm dead. It is in Cammy's favor but it's still very much down to the player and sanford was well on his game.

I'm still confused on how people do Cammy's standing cannon spike (downwards), is it a short jump and quickly inputted?

They do that by sending the combination of Cannon Strike without pressing kick, then they press to jump foward and immediately press Kick. Pretty much is Down + Back + Front Up + Kick

its actually quarter-circle back, jump kick. so they slip in a jump before the press kick to trigger cannon spike so it seems so lightning quick. same idea as dhalsim instant air tele

In certain matchups, Abel can whiff his anti-air grab to build meter safely. Sanford was baiting Rico so he could punish the recovery with ultra...but Rico unfortunately didn't bite like he expected, and ate shit.

I agree, it seemed liked Abel didn't use everything in it's arsenal. Honestly, Cammy shouldn't gotten caught with as many TT's for he did them during movements that were VERY punishable by a cannon spike. His rolls also put him in distance for many cannon spike. For what I saw, he was favoring the short roll which is dangerous. Also there was on other thing he did too much. JUMP! Against characters with high priority anti-airs, your supposed to do everything in your power to stay on the ground.
