  • WOW! Is this bad, I must had watched this as a kid/teen & thank god forgot I did!

What crap. Farrah & Lee must had been forced by the network to be on this.

  • Fake Jan must die!!!

  • i used to love watching the brady bunch when i was younger but we never got this version of the show in the uk..great to see lee majors too..thanks for uploading.

  • I just want to kick fake Jan in the teeth.

  • Fake Jan!

  • Of all the male actor's horrific hair mistakes on this episode, Mike Lookinland's is the most egregious - he looks like Sissy Spacek's date in "Carrie", only more wussified.

  • Just saw rip taylor on jackass 3.5. he looks the same.

  • Just when i think i seen every piece of seventies cheese and this rears up. Another example of a bombed variety show, but yet a prime example of a good Farrah Fawcett appearance, even with the ex bionic hubby. Oh god what a goofball act on Peters behalf.

  • oh man i did enjoy it very much, this is nostalgic. i flashed back.

  • Lee was a cad. That why Ryan seemed better to her.

  • Can we include this skit in "Cute Things Exploding"? ;-)

  • The BB Variety Hour is the worst show in the history of tv. Not only should it have never been aired but the entire cast & production crew should have been arrested and thrown in fuckin` prison WITHOUT rights to an attorney.

  • I wonder why The Captain and Tennille and Bob Denver didn't show up, at least we all know a show in the 70s wasn't complete without Rip Taylor.

  • Ahh that 70's feeling. Best decade

  • I seen Lee Majors at a bass fishing tourney about 10 years ago. He had the fancy high dollar boat , and a bunch of ass kisser guys hanging out with him. He drank really heavy all day and ended up asleep in his boat while his tag along drove him around. They loaded him up and left, he never even finished out the day .

  • @bigrigJim what a pity... He must be better now with his loved new wife... I really think he's a good man. For me he'll be aways a very very special one.

  • This is really cool for us 70's TV fans to watch NOW. But this must have been really painful to sit through when it first aired. Fortunately, I must have been busy playing ball outside. Thank God nostalgia makes anything fun. I'm sure Eve was quite glad to have opted out of this one.....

  • VERY HOKEY BUT SOME GREAT MEMORIES OF MY EARLY TV LIFE......MISSED EVE PLUMB BEING IN THE MIX.....

  • @dall123451

Funnily enough, Lee Majors knew Elvis. They played football for fun in the late sixties and Lee used to attend his Vegas shows. Elvis used to kid Lee about his liking for backing singer Kathy Westmoreland. And when a woman slapped Lee at one of Presley's penthouse parties just because she didn't "like his attitude," Elvis took her aside to ask her why she hit him. When he learned she just didn't like him, he gave her a slap and told the bodyguards to "get her out of here!!"

  • One of the mysteries of my life:

How was this show a good idea?

  • Some shows from the 70's I look back with fond memories....and then....there's this one....and I wonder "what were the Hollywood people thinking????"

...and today, I continue to think that way for more than 99% of what is put out on TV and movies.

  • She should've stated with Lee.

  • @MrsMildredPierce STAYED, I meant.

  • Kaptain Kool & The Kongs is the musical guest....lol!!

Quattro Fromaggio....This show managed to be MUCH more corny than The Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Hour.

But as cheesy and/or corny these shows were, atleast television TRIED to do original things...Unlike the recycled garbage Hollywood churns out these days.

  • this is one of the most inane sketch I have ever seen. It is not funny in any way shape or form. All those involved with this sketch should have been given a choice of either the guillotine or the electric chair.

  • lee was 37/38 when this was done, susan olsen (cindy) was only 15/16 being that she is 22 years younger than lee! like i said kind of creepy to see such a young girl lusting after a man more than twice her age, with her being so young!

of course the "brady" boys were lusting after farrah, but farrah was just a tad older than them, not sure why, but when a teenager boy lusts after a female sex object it seems normal, however when it's a young teenage girl and a much older man? it's wrong?!

  • kind of creepy the way these young brady bunch kids are going gaga over farrah and lee as they are "sleeping"!

especially the girls on lee, what their barely teenagers and they are blatantly lusting after a man old enough to be their father?! and the youngest one of them all cindy is doing most of it!

  • @mbblover Aw shuddup, modern-day wienie.

  • Ahhhh, just gotta love the cheezy 70's. This show is beyond awful; the entertainment is in watching how bad it can get. The writers must have been morons. Still love the Bradys though, as corny as they were.

  • @2079423644 Actually no, the writers were fine, as was everybody else involved in the production. It was the idea itself that was way out of left field, but everybody tried and tried to make it work. That's what makes this show so strangely (and even mind-bogglingly) entertaining. There's a very good book about the whole shebang btw.

  • Oh my god, I remember this--I wish I didn't, but I do.

  • look at a old robert and rip drooling all over Lee and he knows he was probably thinking about killing his agent right about then.farrah was the hottest chic on the planet

  • this is odd.... :/

never saw this and I watched every episode of the original Brady Bunch and those other shows too

just happened upon this just now

  • i love robert reed <3. wish i could have met him!

  • boogie alice? Did she have one hanging?

  • "the children" ??? they are like in their 20s here..

  • Farrah Fawcett and Lee Majors made such a great couple. They were so gorgeous together.

  • I guess Lee majors had no morning breath...LOL

  • Oh I can just FEEL the velor. Is Lee wearing Cloud Climbers from Fayva?

  • Lee majors got the raw deal she left him because she thought she was great she couldnt even act

  • i think farrah fawcett thought she was hot shit all she had was that hair she left tv to do movies and no movie she was in was NEVER ANY GOOD

  • Alice was a babe- I have dreamed of drilling her in the pooper for decades now......

  • The BBVH was so bad it has its own perverse charm. The clohes are so ugly, the laughter is all canned, the singing/dancing so bad to mediocre, the acting to terrible-you can't help but be drawn in-just like slowing to see a car accident!

  • I love Carol's hair on this show...!

  • Just how much did the audience get paid to cheer for every unfunny thing in this show? Eve plumb was the smart one for bailing on this idea.

  • @OceanbornAngel hahahahahahaahahahaha good question. Just plain awful "comedy".

  • Lee was so handsome and Farrah was so beauitful!!

  • Thanks for the walk down memory lane

  • LOL@ that fake-ass Jan...hahaha

  • For the last episode of this unique show, they should have booked Bill Bixby. By the end of the show, if he could make it that long, he would turn into the Incredible Hulk, destroy the hideous sets, and kill everyone.

  • Cool that others thinks Lee looks like Elvis. I thought this a long time ago. I even read somewhere they had thought about using Lee to play Elvis in a movie. Lee & Elvis were good friends. There is a photo of the two of them together and Lee had attended a concert I believe of Elvis.

  • @cluvsonj funny I always thought that too, before I heard anyone else say that.

  • @ElvisFreak77 So cool. I bet others have thought it as well but you just dont hear it much. Im a huge Elvis and Lee fan so that is partly why I noticed it. Have you seen the photo of the 2 together.

  • @cluvsonj yes I have seen the photo of them together, its unbelieveable, they look like they could have been related.

  • Wonderfully bad pieceof 70's cheese. Farrah was so gorgeous. I was a big SMDM fan as a kid.

  • Farrah siempre seras mi favorita, gracias por este video, es una joya

  • @Sergioh62 SI !!!!:D!!!!!

  • Farrah i love... forever

  • Is it any wonder why the show only lasted 9 episodes before being canceled? One of the worst TV variety shows in history.

  • @mcx99 you were right about the brady bunch variety show it was crap i watched it when it was on 2 shows i gave up on it

  • @mcx99 it was an attempt to extend the magic from the tv series.

  • @mcx99 maybe so. but if ure a Brady Bunch fan like I am, it's always nice and entertaining. long live The Brady Bunch!

  • @mcx99 Worst? This is the GREATEST example of 70's variety show cheeze EVER!

  • Thanks for posting totally awesome!!

  • Oh wow! Lee Majors... If Farrah Fawcett and Lee Majors appeared in my house I'd think it was a miracle too!

  • They must have paid Robert Reed alot of money to do this shit

  • LOL Right on Frank!

  • THEY TOLD HIM IT WAS A BROADWAY PLAY.

  • Thanks for posting, they were a great couple, I just saw Lee last week in a TV ad for a Hearing aid, Man times have changed.. I MISS FARRAH!!

  • Please make it stop.

  • Farrah Fawett-Majors you so sweet when

    your eyes close

  • Alice took that kiss...good girl.

  • That's not as bad a scene as some of the other Brady Bunch skits I've seen.

    I kind of liked it.

    Thanks for all these uploads.

Oh, by the way, Susan Olsen grew up looking really beautiful.

  • Thank God for youtube.

  • Farrah always did steal a scene. What a beauty...

  • til she got BUM CANCER

  • I'd rather remember her like this- young, beautiful, and healthy, instead of ill with cancer. Thank God for YouTube!

  • Maureen was way more beautiful

  • Lee was kinda hot back then, i cant believe farrah ended up with a loser like ryan o'neill.

  • @xxcharmed1xx proof that some guys may be the best guy to be with

  • @xxcharmed1xx Chicks love the bad boys, Farrah also never wanted to marry Ryan preferring to live in Sin.

  • @xxcharmed1xx I disagree... Although Lee is/was "hotter" than Ryan, Ryan didn't want to change Farrah. He loved her for whom she was! Lee wanted Farrah to become a stay-at-home mom and wife and was jealous of all her accomplishments as an actress. Something that Ryan never was!

  • I saw this shit the night it came out. This is the type of shit we actually watched in the 1970s. S-A-D

  • i concur, it is total shit

and it's weird to hear the brady bunch theme militarised

  • WHAT A PLACE IN TIME.....

  • Classic stuff.

My how I wish I could go back in time.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • It amazes me how Robert Reed did this show after hating the Brady Bunch.

  • Exactly! Maybe he needed the money, or it more closely matched his interests as a performer?

  • Might be . But compared to the brady bunch, this is awful

  • Right. Tina Louise hated playing Ginger on Gilligans Island too but she also played her role professionally.

  • I think he had such a love for Florence Henderson and the "kids" that is why he did it...at least that is what I read...

  • Robert Reed hated, The Brady Bunch, The Brady Brides, A Very Brady Christmas and The Bradys. The reason? Creator Sherwood Schwartz, whom he was constantly locked in battle with. The variety show, however, had no involvement whatsoever from Schwartz, and Reed cited it as his favorite Brady experience.

  • @BBVHFan

Thanks for the explanation "Fan", however, the one question I've still got is just why did Sherwood Schwartz allow this show to go on, if he wasn't involved with it ????

Also, if you know, was Maureen McCormick already "flying high" (cocaine) by this time, or did that come later ???

    Thanks.

  • Robert Reed saw the show as an opportunity to sing and dance, which he never did in his career. I don't think the poorly written "Bradys at Home" sketches were a big concern for him, because it was just a variety show. You can tell in the singing and dancing numbers that he is enjoying himself, while the rest of the hapless cast looks obviously self-conscious and embarassed.

  • This must be what they play in hell, on endless repeat. Oh the agony..........

  • i remember so many girls had that look that farrah has, the tight jeans with cowboy boots....and of course the hair

  • Lee did not want to kiss Alice!

  • omg i cant belive he kissed her like that... lol

  • oh snap lol i mean shes eves replacement.. im so stupid omg i forgot that that was her name to... but yea eve plumb the women that played the orignal jan brady wanted to move on to more serious acts... lol

  • why would you ask who is Geri... Geri is one of the spice girls.... lol

  • A real sad day. Gone to soon. R.I.P. FF ☮ Walton S. Tissot wrote a poem about Michael today called Farah Fawcett. Walton is an amazing poet. He also wrote something about Michael Jackson. You can find it by googling Walton S. Tissot

  • I was so happy when the 70s were over.

  • WHO IS GERI???

  • Eve Plumb's replacement-- the real Jan didn't want to do the show.

  • In the brady bunch movie they made Jan look more like the variety show Jan than the real Jan. That always annoyed me as the rest of the cast for the movie was great (especially Maricia who was PERFECT). Variety Show Jan is awful.

  • Yes, I agree, but eve plumb refused to do it.

  • RIP Farrah Fawcett!!! You will be missed!!!

  • Una belleza!!!!!

  • she was my first love...thanks for posting this!

  • Peter said it best at 7:23: "Farrah Fawcett, you ARE an Angel, and I love you!"

    Rest in Peace, Farrah!

  • god lee majors is handsome

  • he reminds me of Elvis

  • Yeah, I think Lee looks a lot like Elvis, too!

  • Yes.... Lee really does. It's a little bit weird.

  • RIP Farrah

  • RIP farah fawcett

  • I think this wins as the weirdest, most awkward video I've ever seen on youtube. Hilarious.

  • Ah, life in the '70s...

  • I have been wanting to see this ep since I first learned about it! I am a big bionic fan! :)

  • Omg! It was great to see Rip Taylor! I always liked him. :)

  • is rip still alive??

  • Yes, Rip Taylor is still alive. He's 75 now. :)

  • Wait a minute. He's 75?!! He looked like he was pushing 60 in the show, and this was 32 years ago. Must've been the bad rug!

  • Some big stars of the 70's in their heyday.

    This was awesome.

  • haha I used to watch this when I was a little kid. **Fake 'Jan Brady' alert **LOL

I forgot how smokin' Fawcett was when she was younger.

    RIP Robert Reed

  • Would you believe I never saw this or remember it? Farrah was Hot and Lee let her get away. What was the deal with Jan I wonder?

  • It wasn't on too long (like 9 or 10 episodes I think). It gained "fame" b/c of 'The Donny and Marie Show' which later on replaced it. **side note** I used to watch the D & M show @ 8:00 pm on Friday nights, then a certain show called TIH came on CBS and the rest is history! *lol*

Well, I saw on THS that Eve Plumb's dad was in dispute with the show and didn't want her on. So they wrote her out of the contract. Paris Hilton's mom was one of the 1500 girls who auditioned for the part.

  • The idea for this show came about because a few of the Brady characters actually were in a skit on the Donny and Marie Show. It was so well received, that the Brady Bunch Variety Show was put together in a matter of months. It had some similar elements of the D&M Show. They had the ice skaters and the Brady's had the water ballet. Didn't make a whole lot of sense, but not much of 70's variety did. It's still great fun to see!!!

  • show called TIH???what show was that??

  • *lol* TIH: 'The Incredible Hulk'. : )

  • before TIH , first came the THE DUKES OF HAZZARD just ole good boys never meaning no harm

  • The Dukes didn't come out until '79 Hulk premiered a year earlier on CBS @ 9:00 pm after 'The New Adventures of Wonder Woman' .

  • I remember it well. Watched them every Friday night:)

  • thanks for posting these great clips of Farrah!

  • It was nice seeing Lee and Farrah. I don't like the new Jan much.

  • Thanks for the vid. lee and Farrah did a couple of guest spots one of them was on the Donny and Marie show, very rara
