Yep. Lilydale. Not haunted, just dirty. Some of those caves stretch for miles under the bluff. There are even houses and businesses in that part of Saint Paul that still have cellar entrances to the caves. The area was a haven for rum-runners during prohibition.
These caves were used for cold storage many years ago. I have been through the caves and never experienced anything paranormal. they are closed to foot traffic and you will get a ticket for going into them because they are sand caves. People used to go into them to party, they would start a fire and the heat from the fire would dry outthe sand roof and it was know to colapse on them. Most of them have been filled in to one extent or another.
the only thing that I have seen that he encountered is the fear that lies within his self. and I do believe that what really scared him the most is finding out how bad of shape that he is in physical. everyone knows that when you go to somewhere for the first time by yourself that you will be nervous and excited. Also there was a children's skeleton found in the river and you can suposedly see a old settlers child playing down by the river. Also in the gravel pit a teenager drowned and you can see somthing white splashing in the water durring summer nights.

caves are naturally damp for water is how caves are built and if it has another opening which most caves do if air is going in via another hole then yes you will get a slightly colder feeling

Yeah I went to Lilydale Park thats where the caves are located. My friends and I went down there and found only one large cave that were caged up, couple of teenagers were killed in that cave 4 years ago which is really sad. If you to lilydale park down the bottom near river, you will see the sign beware of trepassing the caves, walk down there on trail until you see it on ur left side end of the trail. Other caves already filled by rocks and cemented. Im sure its few small caves left out there.
the cold breeze is a good thing in a mine shaft. before you enter any mine shaft, be it vertical or horizontal always check for a cool backdraft. this ensure you that right from the back of the tunnel there is well ventaltion

I went down there Halloween 01 . Pretty cool until we got back into the parking lot some chick was fighting with some guy. He was in a car (shitty ass car to ) We stepped out to investigate and the dude rolls his car right up in front if myself and my friends . Starts revving his engine like he was going to run us over .

Yeah I went to Lilydale Park thats where the caves are located. My friends and I went down there and found only one large cave that were caged up, couple of teenagers were killed in that cave 4 years ago which is really sad. If you to lilydale park down the bottom near river, you will see the sign beware of trepassing the caves, walk down there on trail until you see it on ur left side end of the trail. Other caves already filled by rocks and cemented. Im sure its few small caves left out there.

This is stupid, but if you want to see some real haunted shit in MN go look for smiling jack by fort snelling or go to long lake regional park in new brighton and walk long the railroad tracks at night until you see the green mist and run into crazy mary. wabasha caves are good too.

i go there and there are some haunted caves there he just didnt find the right ones... there is one called the capone cave and there is shackels about a half mile into the cave and some people have found 60 year old dinamite in one of the caves. also the area used to belong to the indians so that should creep just about anybody out!
