@toybirdy Red is NOT Ash. Ash is based off of Red, but they are not the same. They are counterparts. The games don't even know who this "Ash Ketchum" is(although the American version did due to it being released during a later time). Same with Green(also known as Blue, in America) and Gary. The Anime is based off of the game. The only Pokemon game(handheld) that is based off of the Anime, would be Pokemon Yellow.

it sounds like a well balanced team but the only thing that might be a problem is aerodactyl cause you get him when your near the end of the game at lvl 5 so unless you have a way to lvl him up fast he might be too under leveled to help you

for your pokemon team, I think you should get everything to about 50 while the other trainers pokemon are about level 30 and then evole pikachu with a thunder stone make sure richu (or whatever) knows a good electric attack and iron tail and then there you go, you got a decent team.
