up til now I had never heard this song but now took the time to listen to both and I think there is something to be said for both versions...so I dont know why the bashing has to happen... all bashing does is show limited perspective and willingness to keep an open mind.

@0vershad0w Covers can be wonderful, Homages can be incredibly heartfelt what Tim McGraw did wasn't either of those things, I speak with unending bias towards Ryan Adams music which if you are a fan you'll know means more to you than music by anyone else in the entire of your collection. When Ryan sings this it comes from a heart so big and so beautiful you can hear it in every note and every word - this is not a song to touch, not ever not by anyone...it means too damn much.....xo
