  • God!

  • NEIL FOR EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 959 views .. almost there to 1 billion. Dream big, carry a big stick and speak whispered nonsense. Beautiful song .. never tire of it..whelly! Only 13 likes but no dislikes .. well these things can't kill you in the end but if no one give me a thumbs up I an get very very sick.

  • Just takes weekend to double the views , almost, congrats Jack though numbers add up to nothin'. Well this is going to be a hit as in Bocce? But Neil is right the same thing that makes you live can kill you in the end i.e. Air .. oxygenation is life and dead . Neil is so damn deep like a musical ride.

  • Not that the number of views ever matter but as Neil's Statistical Bean counter .. 503 views it is today. That would be hall of fame home run numbers for you Jack, a small number for you a guy with a career of 20,000 strikeouts on a 99 mph high 2 and 4 seam fastballs and the distortion Eephus pitch you developed and patented. You took the knock-downs like Frank Sinatra and hit 503 in the seats and your ball is still going out of the san franciso bay /LA areas.

  • Jack: when I said views don't mean a thing I was lying. 400 views. I'm sorry we (my corporate friends .. look they are all I got!!) need to replace a great video with Justine Beiber .. nothing personal but make way from the blonde ambition .. sorry. You'll find a place in the sun. Ever Watch a Place in the Sun and ever see a more wooden actor than Montgomery Cliff? Elizabeth Taylor must have loved rainforest and trees a lot.

  • View don't mean a damn thing. 330 views are just find just like the seconds in a hit song or the seconds in a minutes oh well look I'm not not good at telling time but 330 is a great batting average of a Hall of Famer, a diamond in the rougher business of life. I hear this song singing like a long lost friend calling me to stand side by side and a make it last like a musical ride.

  • Oh my last comment (is that possible for me?). Just this: I strayed from Neil for a number of years and I must confess that this song "Hanks to Hendrix" is what brought me back to Neil (no more baseball puns from me at this time). I was so elated by his talent and Harvest Moon that I realized then I should never stray again and well I did stray later but I will never give up on Neil. And thanks to videos like yours I realize others songs I overlooked .. just not this one. Take care.

  • @11xzxzxz Yeah... straying from Neil invariably turns out to be something we end up regretting to some degree or another.

I've done it myself for various reasons from time to time.

I always come back in the end.

    Have a good one Mike.

  • @curiousgeorge555 But seriously no one strays from a curiousgeroge555 video. Well I never did. Good luck, friend.

  • @curiousgeorge555 Jack, Neil likes it when we stray as that is more or less his motto.

  • @11xzxzxz He does not like to be pinned down, that's for sure. He headed for the ditch after hitting middle road.

Kinda gives one a little insight to where his head was at.

I have often wondered what psychologists have thought about Neil. Imagine the sheer amount of analysis that has run through peoples minds. In written form It would probably fill at least 10 million 3 terabyte hard drives to the brim.

  • @curiousgeorge555 Right. I never have seen what psychologists have written. They might concentrate on his epilepsy and his mom's forceful personality and his parents divorce. what about his friends and relationships .. everything is music with him and the music indicates depth, feelings and humor and a hard drive for old king who did like to get pinned down, crazy dog horse.

  • @11xzxzxz Hell I never got 4 thumbs up before. Thumbs dumb down sure. I want to thank, probably, the person with 4 sites who voted 4 times or the reckless drunks who were plastered. Ha just kidding . You know this thumbs up system is dumb because usually all one has to do is say "hurray for our side, God bless you all" and then much more cogent remarks get ignored. That's life. Conform and you will be loved, critique and you will be critiqued.

  • Cool.......always loved this song :)

  • @DejaVuSu ...glad you come by, thanks for commenting. It's one of my favorites from Harvest Moon. I particularly like this performance. Have a good one..

  • I saw a video of Neil and Peggi on Ytube doing Four Strong Winds and it looked like they were headed for divorce California Style if not a lot quicker. I guess Neil was just a little moody or didn't want to be partial .. to his wife???

  • Thanks Jack. The timing couldn't have been better given the amount of music played and heard over the last weekend.

Music has "always see me through," and "it's a good feeling to know," (Poco) that the creative side of you and others can only make the music more than timeless. Take on another life, and live it fully.

    Thaks again.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @rockinroller7 So you had a music marathon going on this week-end? Sounds great!

I hear you on the music companion thing. I can't imagine a world without music. How different life would be w/out music.

Thanks for stopping by for a listen and a comment.

    Take care

    ~jack

  • @curiousgeorge555

Jack, as always, I appreciate everything you do, and thank you.

I need to dig deeper into more of your work.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @rockinroller7 See I gave you a thumbs up and the two others followed . domino effect in a nuclear age. You got three but because of my mass ramblings you can't get on the first page. I talked so much and I would delete my stuff but it's not hurting anyone .. but you .. it's hurting you .... sorry. Don't worry fame is fleeting . my fame will fade to black soon. have a thumbs up day and night.

  • @11xzxzxz

And now I have five, for writing what I wroteLOL?! Thanks. But you know it's not about the thumbs up for me.

Just, "speakin' out," as Neil yells on one of the songs, or "don't be denied."

And your 'fame will fade to black?" But, "what is the color, when black is burned,,,,,what is the color?"

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @rockinroller7 thumbs are yours ... You get what you give. My fame is black so I can not fade to black. don't know what is the color when black is burned? If you burn black I guess it turns to grey black yellow white smoke. All I know is sometimes it's distorted , not really clear like most of my evasive answers. Good night and trip, The Troller. The STroller is a perfect stranger like a cross of himself and black fox, a feeling arranger and a changer of the way he misspells . Thumbs Up?

  • @11xzxzxz

For me, when black is burned, I go to the ditch, and find some very interesting colors there.

Not the colors of the rainbow, but like Neil, they are a mystery.

Keep the torch/porch light burning, in all you write.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @rockinroller7 Funny but insightful stuff as always from you.

  • @11xzxzxz

    Right back at ya!

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @rockinroller7 Yeah start digging deeper and earn your 6 thumbs you lousy bastard who bested me by 2 thumbs upl Kidding! enjoy them all .. if only they mattered one iota. Maybe we can use them to vote politicians out as they do in Chicago ?

  • so beautiful!

  • @68shamoa Glad you enjoyed it!

  • An excellent reflective video with a dash of psychedelia and Buster Keaton. Neil is reflective as he looks back on personal heroes who are gone and equates this with a present day trouble that is brewing. Jack, a master at jarring psychedelia roller-coaster musical rides demonstrates again he is as comfortable using a 90 mph change-up that splices, cross-cuts with jump & continuity shots that weaves & look back at a time when America was more breezily on track, not like a hurricane.

  • @11xzxzxz I'm glad you saw Buster Keaton in this. We need more than a bit of comic relief pitchers these days.

I like the analogy or past and present America. You're throwing some good stuff here.

    Long live Neil and Baseball.

  • @curiousgeorge555 Baseball huh? My analogies where political and Neil Diamond, I thunk. Damn (Yankees) again I mixed the two Neils up again.. I forgot I took Neil Diamond out of rotation long ago he was high on Cracklin' Rosie.

  • @11xzxzxz It can be Rough on the Diamond when Neil is at the plate.

  • @curiousgeorge555 Neil Y seems to be at the plate a lot. Your only mistake in your video is u have a picture of Shakey but the train ride is not shaking. What is a matter with u? u can't run along side with a dolly to get a shakey camera shot. Get it together & then we can still ride side by side. Ya know Babe Rough once visited the diamond state & I was the boy Babe visited in the hospital then I was in the stadium when Ruth pointed & the boy in the bubble in Paul the tall simon song

  • @curiousgeorge555 I was reading this page some girl I talk to on the phone and and she said I shouldn't try trading puns and you bested me. To quote her "you are out of my league"

  • lets roll? then a tour against the war? F'n flipfloper

  • Love this Jack...the performance has a true live vibe...I've been reading "the ballad of Bob Dylan"...great book...Bob talks about how Love and Theft was a true labor of love because he produced it himself...it came out how HE wanted it to sound... Nothing better than doing it live...great capture of Neil at his best MyFriend, especially like the train footage;)

    michael

  • @reliablebow I hear ya Michael. The live vibe is palpable. /// I'll have to take a look at that Dylan book.

    Thanks...

    ~j
