I simply don't understand why none of you so called e-collar dog trainers ever show how the training is done. You guys repeat yourself over and over again, talking about what the collar does. We already know what the device does. What we want to know is how to use the device in the training process. Why don't you talk about that.
@gpruitt54 I would be happy to discuss implementation and collar conditioning if you're interested. Is there anything specific you would like to know or is yours a general inquiry? If you want to see some excellent synopses of e-collar training that already exist on YouTube you should conduct a search for Evan Graham - Smartworks. He's one of the best retriever trainers out there and his ability to convey his methods in an understandable fashion makes him an excellent resource.
Most of you have never had a Siberian Husky.... I have had many breed and never had trouble training until now. I have tried rewarding my dog.. but when it comes to safety for his life! I am definitly going to try a collar.. My husky bolts out my door when a UPS or anyone comes to my door.. I try to grab him and put him in the other room but sometimes my son opens the door before I get there and when my dog bolts he runs through the street and doesnt come back until he wants to.
How the f*ck is that the most humane?!?!?!?! You dont need to use those horribal things to train your dog!!!!!! Shock collars couse fear anxiety stress and even agression in dogs! Dont listen to him! Those are horribal things that should be banned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is bad for the dogs and when you put it on a low setting a lot of times it wont work!!! Use only possitive training, I have trained some of the craziest dogs basic commands without the use of shock collars.
"Best and the most humane method"???? What you fail to tell people is that this is STILL an aversive or punishment method of training. At least be honest and tell people what happens to the dog if your tiny little stimulus also fails to work. People, when you get a dog, learn to train the dog correctly and you won't have to resort to this. Leslie Nelson's DVD "Really Reliable Recall" works if you do that method correctly, too. And, the beauty is that you won't have to hurt Fido at all.
@CopainTv The dog is scared by just SHOWING him the collar? It must have been very painful, then. Now your dog obeys you out of fear, not willingness or respect.
My advice is: if you can't train a dog without harming it, you shouldn't get one. They are living, breathing, animals.
@pnkrk1039 FUCK YEAH YOU ARE RIGHT if you can't raise a dog without physical och mental punishment then you suck an you shouldnt even be allowed to have a dog or a baby or friends
wtf is everyone crying about ..so dont buy one ..but this collar is for stubborn ass dogs that dont even wana pay attention when u call their name so pls STFU is u dont like it dont get one ..that collar dont hurt them iif used properly its just a weird feeling they dont like ..stop acting like its so bad for the dog shut the fuck up dumb asses if it was so damn bad y the hell did they invent this shit ..STFU
My dog refused to listen and I spent a lot of money on a trainer to tell me to use positive reinforcement, and I did. I practiced in the yard, in the house, in the tennis court... everywhere.
As soon as my dog got off the leash he would forget all of it and completely ignored me. He didn't take me seriously.
As soon as I used the static collar on him he learned to come immediately and he acted like it was a big deal but I put it on myself and it was just a tingle. NOT abuse.
Nvm what I will never use such "thing" on my dog, its many other ways 2 train a dog and if u cant then its something wrong with you and not the dog it is about respect between you and ur dog nothing else.
Not all dogs are the same. They have personalities believe it or not...some will respond to regular training, others may not. Also, some breeds like Siberian Huskies tend to be more independent and stubborn, in this case a shock collar may be effective.
Uggghhh, shock collars, e-collars & electric collars.. (all the same thing) are horrible.. why would anybody do this? Even if it is only at 15-20.. it's still a horrible feeling to get an electric shock. Don't use this please, for your dog's sake.
blow me. I use a non barking collar on my dog because my dog was barking all of the time. NONSTOP. She quickly stoped barking so no more collar. used it for 1 week then done. so you thinik its horrable FUCK YOU LOSER
shock collars ARE NOT EVERYTHING BUT HUMAIN FUCK YOU PEOPLE! electric shock is the worst feeling you could ever get. Please dont use it i know nobody use this collar in low levels because then it would not have effect on your dog.
trevthesparky needs a shock. Fuck shut up. I use a remote. I love it. So does my dog. He knows its time to work. trevthesparky you talk to much thats the problum here
If i understand correctly what you are saying in this video then you sir are a monster. There are much more effective ways of teaching your dog to do what you want it to do which should start almost as soon as you get him /her ..repetition and reward are the keys. We got our german shepherd to come back to us at a very early age starting in our home using that method punishment as you are advocating here has no place in dog training
If you had ever been subjected to an electric shock you would know it is not a pleasant sensation, how can a human possibly guage what may or may not give pain to a dog. I repeat what I said..there are far more productive methods than this of training your dog and if you have to resort to this method then you have seriously screwed up and your dog would be better off with a different home. I ,however, as you state am a dumbass so what do I know except my dog does exactly what i ask of him
wow you have a german shepard-one of the smartest dogs. Some people have more stubborn breeds that also lack the intellegence of your dog(you too cause your so "eloquent") i use one that has behavior monitoring so i havent even shocked my dog and it helps when he is far away
wow, this had like 0 usefull info.

I have an English bulldog and he steals stuff non-stop ...
We put on the collar, set it on the lowest setting ...
We gave him a shock ONCE, now just showing the collar is enough
These collars are very helpfull when used in a proper way, i'd never hurt my dog without any reason

@pnkrk1039
Ever even felt a bulldog's skin? Thick as hell and the collar was on setting 1 ...
Don't compare fear with being smart, knowing he shouldn't steal things.
What would happen if he stole something that could harm him? And I wouldn't be able/there to take it from him? Think of that first.
Like I said before: I'd never hurt any dog without reason other than his own well being.

I just do it old-school.
When my dog exhibits any negative behavior, I yell "NO" in a firm tone of voice and spank it.
Worked fine so far.
