did you install rockbox with the rockbox utility program or did you do it manually? I've installed it manually on a 2nd gen nano, because the utility did not support it, and it doesn't work right. i was curious if the same problems would occur with a 1st gen nano if i install it manually from a mac.

Nope its a 1st gen

2nd gen Firmware is encrypted

and no one really cares to crack it

you can put videos but don't you have to convert them?

yes. they must be mpeg2 and converted to 176x128 or at least that the pixel width i use

database is basically like what your ipod's original os has

you can drag and drop your music files into a folder your ipod's drive if you want(eg,E:\Music)

then access your songs from files>music
