For this to really work though, you want to abuse the hell out of base-damage increases (C = weapon class number. All hammers have 5.2 as WC for example)

All of these stack:

Powercharm +6 x C

Powertalon +9 x C

Super Demondrug/Kitchen Attack up L +5 x C

Armor skill Attack Up +10 x C for S, +15 x C for M, +20 x C for L (pick the one you have)

Might Pill +25 x C (holy shit)

Pill trick: Eat a seed right after taking a pill to extend that pill's duration by 3 min. The duration can be refreshed too

@TheMHandDSfan Well you will probably need Adrenaline+2/Heroics to solo monsters.

For instance: It took me about 40ish minutes to cap jho without Adrenaline and 19mins with it

@alexm743 heroics gives a 1.35x boost to your total damage (before sharpness), and 1.2x boost to your defense, but you need to have health under 10% for it to kick in.

Adrenaline +2 gives a 1.3x boost to damage and 1.15x to defense, but is way safer by kicking off under 40% health. Heroics and Adrenaline stack apparently.

Try to get Adrenaline+2 and Sharpness+1, with any attack up you can (attack ups just add to base damage, not multiply), and a safety skill like Guard or Evasion.

Its funny because ice shots do no damage to deviljho except when they hit his head and his belly. So most of the time you were doing 0 damage.

@rodec5 yes, it does a tiny amount of raw. however, ice was the absolute worst kind of elemental shot that could have been used. Any other one would have been better, but pierce shot usually trumps elemental shots.

@gustavo69er They were Exaust S and i think that curve is because of some uber deviation on that gun. I was about to go so far as to say this guy doesnt gun often... But i think he just has some Terribad Deviation.

nightsky you are wrong. the wii version has graphics that make people soil their pants. The handheld versions, in my opinion are very bland. there is nothing really interesting about them. the wii version is much more fun the fact that the monsters act like monsters. They move like they are real. not like robots. MH3 is the best to me. The wii just introduced T for teen and mature games. psp has them and it is same old thing.

In 18 months of owning MHP2ndG I've played it for 180 hours. In 7 weeks of having the NA version of MH3 I've played for 210. I think that says a lot.

I don't have to play crab-handedly! Hurrah! The interchangeable bowgun parts are more interesting too.

Guess we'll see what Capcom have done to MHP3rd when it comes out.

@kryss101010 In case you haven't looked up some info on the game already, I'll fill you in. They are in fact returning the bowgun to how they were in the portable games (Thus no medium bowguns), same with the farm and the points system they had. I'm unsure, but I think they removed wyvern's fire from bowguns since gunlances are back. I think that's all the bowgun related things.

@Nightsky071 I think they decided to streamline it, so removes dual swords and gunlance and bows. They were pretty much semi clones of the main weapons anyways. The handhelds had different coloured monster which I thought was cool (never played them though) would have love for thw wii one to have that. However, the monsters have been updated, slashaxe has been introduced and monsters aren't all dragons now, which is cool, coz I'm pretty bored of fighting dragon-like things.
