Try reading some serious science book with some community collage classes and then see which explanation relies on evidence and which can only hang on faith.

also, the giant fish you think is rediculous could be a whale interprited as a fish b/c back then they didn't classify organisms to the phylums we have today. that would also explain how there was air inside it b/c unlike fish, whales hold their breath and do not have gills. he could easilly breathe in the mouth or belly of a whale. most christians interperit it this way so that fact that u don't means you want it to sound rediculous so ppl won't accept it.

The preacher in Ecclesiastes 1:4 is referring to the fact that when one life passes, the earth remains for another to walk upon. Basically its a figurative statement, comparing the length of human life in comparison to the life expectancy of the earth, which in his days was unknown. So 'forever' in this context probably implied 'a very long time.'
However the creationist is making the mistake of reading the book literally, when it should be read metaphorically and allegorically.

Forever means 'forever' depending on its context. For an example 'friends forever' doesn't imply a friendship that will last for an eternity, but rather a possible (and limited) lifetime. The statement is to be taken metaphorically.

Why don't creationists attack anything more than evolution. @MrMarkless A mutation is a forced change in the morphology of a species. Evoltuion is a natural change (i.e adapting to an enviroment like Bacteria does). Mutations usually occur when exposed to certain energy, for example ionizing radiation generated via Thermonuclear power can cause mutations. You are right, theists don't understand what evolution or even atheism is. They think our planet, universe and species were magically created out of thin air. The preacher in Ecclesiastes 1:4 is referring to the fact that when one life passes, the earth remains for another to walk upon. Basically its a figurative statement, comparing the length of human life in comparison to the life expectancy of the earth, which in his days was unknown. So 'forever' in this context probably implied 'a very long time.'
However the creationist is making the mistake of reading the book literally, when it should be read metaphorically and allegorically.

Mutations usually occur when exposed to certain energy, for example ionizing radiation generated via Thermonuclear power can cause mutations. @NANOFORGE Hahaha well even when theyr sick. When they become very sick they go to the doctor, get medication to help them, get bloodwork done to figure out whats wrong, and maybe even get surgery. Then after the surgery they thank god they survived. Science does all the work and god takes all the credit. If they are truly faithful they should refuse the doctor and use prayer to cure themselves. Christianity will be taught in mythology class in the future because it will die out eventually

@Strangerinasland Same here. After a man has surgery hel thank god instead of the surgeons or nurses that actually saved his life. Happens all the time. People are so desperate to believe in something that theyl do and say completely illogical things in order for that belief to stay strong. If the bible said you should rape your sons and daughters to a Barbara Streisand song every day then christians would do it. Theyl do the stupidest shit in the name of their religion it is amazing.

I watched this documentary about north Korea, and the film crew sneaked in with eye surgeons and every person after the surgery got on their hands and knees thanking their dear leader and didn't even say one word to the surgeons.

What isn't right about the second part? They really would do those things they do stupid, silly things. Now would ALL of them do that, no of course not. But more than some would. I kind of wish I wasn't American, mainly because I imagine the rest of the world views us as creationist southern people. I used "southern people" as the stereotype definition, as I know some cool southern people, but in general: gun totting, crazy wrath-of-god types who shoot first and think second.

Allright, let me tell you why I personally hate religion.
People use it to start wars over them. In the past, now and they will bring trouble in the future. Because of the arrogance one that obtain out of religion we have been slowing down evolution because some strange man believes in a magic ghost in the clouds.
I can understand that people are religious, I am happy when people get strength out of a religion. However, I do not like the ignorant behavior that comes with it.
