  • Pretty good for a BASIC game!

  • @RABBIDGamfan It wasn't written in Basic, it's written in 6502 assembly

  • Look at Tempest Xtreem, a new Tempest for Atari 8bit computers and a lot better than this version. Coming soon. Find videos on youtube ;)

  • Well,

the game Livewire originally appeared in Analog computing as a type-in program. Later a Livewire-2 was also released (maybe Page 6 got a licence to reprint it, don`t know)...

You can play this game with a Joystick or Koala-Pad/Paddles...

  • I spend hours playing that game. Its still look great.

  • I have Tempest 2000 for my Atari jaguar, which rocks big time!

  • Hell yeah, it does!

  • Interesting historical note. The game is by Tom Hudson who would go on to write Solid States another 3D type-in program printed in the pages of Atari magazine Analog. Solid States would eventually become CAD 3D on the Atari ST. CAD 3D would eventually become 3D Studio MAX which just about every special effects and game producer in the world uses today. From humble beginnings come great things. OK, not so interesting.

  • livewire not tempest..

page 6 typein, if i remember
