I say this wasn't officially a 2man game. If it were, you wouldn't have used Robo to take an extra hit off your players. Just saying.

@Arcterious Fainted heros in this game come back with 1 hp after a battle so It's almost impossible to come in with exactly 2 (few exceptions with party characters leaving before battle leaving you with two). Attacking the hero would just waste an attack that could be put to better use. as far as I can see it.

@Arcterious: Now, I haven't played Chrono Trigger in a long while but if I remember correctly, you can't attack yourself.

@Arcterious That is correct. Otherwise, I would have let him kill himself before doing anything. So, in this challenge, I will simply make sure the third character enters the battle with so little HP, he/she dies by one attack. There's really no other way to do it.

Weeeeellll... To make it official, I would have forced an all party attack, so that way, nobody was being used as a shield.

And how exactly would you do that in a battle with a fixed attack pattern? In this battle, you have to wait three turns until you get a chance to provoke an all party attack, and the third character is likely to get hit before that anyway. Not to mention the bosses that don't have any all party attacks.

This is one of the toughest bosses in this type of challenge. Excpet for Nizbel II and Magus, which is where is stopped on my LLG.

Those battles are demonstrations, this one included. The battle is refaught with an exp hog, usually Lucca it seems.

@DeathFlea garland saves before the boss battles and records it with this challenge to show that he can do it, then he just loads the sav e before the boss and fights the boss again, but with taking out chrono befor the end of it, at least i think he does it like that

yeah, even with a decent level, not knowing his script can be fatal, I like this challenge, better than simple LLG

As a kid, I always thought Slash was saying "Pain! Yes indeed!!" (with text at max speed, I always swore he said it but I just kept missing it because it went by too fast), so, that made the attack all the more bad-ass for me... XD

I remember the second phase of this battle being pretty intense in an LLG with three characters available, actually. Great job on managing to do it without Lucca.

Yeah, I didn't change the battle speed until the very end of the game, I think.

I actually wanted to go slow for the mandatory Magus battle, but changed the message speed instead.
