Knowing how many miles you can travel @ the given sinkrate to fly around the aiport instead of diving to it would make it atleast somewhat realistic. Its so funny cause this is a simulator. If this was real life, everybody would be like, ZOMG ZOMFG, CRASHH!

I think the guy who posted this is aware that in real life the plane would have suffered structural failure and the pilot would have not been able to handle the g loads.. He has to be aware of that because to do this in FS you need to turn the realism down and turn off the g effects and stress detection or whatever they call it in the menu. The point of this was not to simulate a real engine out event.. he just wanted to have fun.

It looked like this guy was descending at about 5,000 fpm. In a typical spin he would be pulling about 2.5 g's and already experiencing tunnel vison and cone vision because the eyes require adequate O2 and Glucose.

From what I could tell the airplane almost appeared to be at Vne before he cranks the airplane around to align for landing. More G. Maybe 3-4--and he's already likely going dark. He might not even see the runway.

This exercise doesn't prove much except FS is extremely forgiving.

I think you're unaware of the physiology of GLoads, bank, and rapid descent requiring a quick pullup. The guys ASI was unwinding at about 5,000FPM. Even a light airplane will reach Vne if the rotations are not stopped quickly.

At 75 degree bank he would have been pulling about 4g (that's the case even in a sailplane). Unless someone does an AGSM, he's likely going dark.

Then there's the pull-up which also significantly increases G. Care; don't care. It's the way it is.
