I've seen many tornado videos, but I think the atmosphere of this footage is amazing. It's so ominous! The beautiful light, the sound of the rain against the windshield, the wipers. And meanwhile something is clearly wrong, listening to the emergency broadcast and watching this beast form in front of the camera.
Survivor of tuscaloosa tornado here...still cant talk about the storms without getting upset. STILL fighting with State Farm over insurance claims, so much devastation.
I was on that tornado as well i was due east of it and paralleled it from beginning to when it went a mile wide. Check out my page and you'll see my video. Also I called it in as well as a TVN van who was near my location.
This is an awesome video, guys!! We have a reunion here every yr, so it is weird to watch. I can't imagine being as close as you guys were...did you see the guy and gal (she was crying) that were crossing the BRIDGE and taping??? OMG.
@chasercentral Oh, ok. Thanks for the reply. I was just curious if the storm was tornado warned, it wasn't necessary to call it in, or what the process is for calling in a rotating storm. Like, if you see a funnel, do you call it in, or is only when it touches down?
@amaddb04 he did say its on the ground on a radio so he did tell someone... but this is an amazing video... u got some balls but seem to know what u r talkin about lol
It's amazing how quickly this thing grew into a wedge!!!

Great video. Just curious though - I didn't hear you call this in. Why is that? Not trying to start anything, just wondering why you didn't.

@amaddb04 The guy we we with called it in too. There were lots of chasers on this storm I'd say most of them called it in.
