@trandbaby2 - For spool bearings, they only need to be oiled not greased. Greased bearings in the spool will slow down the reel. Oil will dissipate over a period of time so its not as critical as cleaning a greased bearing.

you don't need to wipe off any grease before you put in the ceramic bearing? You mentioned it is free flowing so wouldn't the excess grease slow it down if you don't wipe it off?
