  • Damn dude, CONGRATS!!!! I really really envy your smile... Thanks for sharing!

  • more big the fish than the guy xD

  • biggest doggy i shot was 10kg and it took off like a fraight train... i wonder how yours did!!

  • Cameron, take no notice of "airhead" , appropriately named I thought.

    Excellent work. great oppotunity shot.

i know how hard we work for the one fish we take.

    Good work bro

    G

  • wow it's so big!

  • how?

  • wooh,.great catch man.....i used to spearfish at my 20s...but i used manual spear...and the largest i ever caught was perhaps only a 2kg parrot fish..haha not to much to brag about...anyways..great video.....enjoy your catch.....peace yah all !

  • amazing catch man ;)

  • would all u tree huggers just shut the hell up if this guy ate this fish it be no different then killing a cow or pig and eatting it so shut the hell up, buddy thatss an awsome catch

  • Indonesia! Where the white man comes to exploit it's natural resources.

Damn, what am I trolling for? Indonesia, I don't even know where it is!

  • great fish!!!!! where was that?? thnx

  • fish there are extremely big they can be bigger than a great white :( it bit my dogs tail of :(

  • Rod and reel folks understand the ocean ? Many tourists who frequent my fishing grounds buy a license which enables them to fill 100 quart coolers full of juvenile bottom fish with no limits. What do you believe happens to a majority of these fish when they are harvested beyond numerical consumption ? Commercial guys understand the oceans a deal more, yet no one listens ! We see our fish populations daily !

PS. Great vid and great catch !!! Pretty fish !

  • I do agree with your comment about the tourists, its the reason there are only juvenile fish left in the harbour, they never get the chance to grow up. Maybe you understand the ocean and respect it but I cannot agree that most commercial guys respect the ocean. You have to admit commercial overfishing does exist, especially in the south pacific.

  • I cant stand tourists that do that bs. Some moron from Cali tried to keep a 14 inch snook when I was at a pier last summer...I wasn't having any of that.

  • Good Job Cam

  • Good job man

  • great record!

  • Congratulations on another amazing harvest! Spearfishermen and rod n reel folks know and understand our Oceans some others simply do not.

  • lucky he never dive bombd

  • thats crazy with a reel, but unbelievable spearfishing

  • wow !

    very nice

thank you for sharing it with us

  • i bet a dolphin would taste better

  • Im a kayak fisherman and ive read pretty much all comments in this video and the funniest one so far is some guy saying OMG WHAT IF THE FISH JUMPED OFF THE BOAT?? .. by the way great catch ...

  • Oh my god--that is the BIGGEST fish I have ever seen in my life!

  • K' MOSTR'

  • thanks for the video.....Great!!sorry to see that so many assholes cant appreciate it for what it was....For others to see what lives about! Thats why we watch YOU TUBE,

Next time , just post your video and !@#$% the rest.

There are fishos that enjoys live, and your video. THANK YOU!!!

  • wow! nice catch, amigo... every tuna i've shot has taken me spear with it. I'm jealous, to tell u the truth. Nice work!

  • hey longliner, your "species" of fishermen are pretty much responsible for the decline of populations of nearly every sought after pelagic fish. you claim that spearfishing is worse than longlining.. i cant even begin to describe your ignorance. do you have any idea how many people it would take and how much skill would be required to spearfish any species into a population decline? YOUR A ****ing idiot. I hope a long painful death is in store for you. and you tree huggers..... your just stupid

  • read the book by taras grescoe. bottom feeders. commercial fishermen will wipe out our fish stocks lighting years ahead of this guy. good catch, now lets eat all of it!!

  • Hey Cam, congrat's-I think you got lucky! Amazing debate, I don't think financial benefits to local community are taken into account-accomodation, seeing local attractions, eating, even something as simple as fueling the boat benefits local community by helping employment and allowing locals to feed their families, while taking a resource they don't fish. Self contained factory ships don't benefit local economy, whereas you take a few fish and thousands are spent benefitting the local guys

  • wow

  • nice fish how long did it take you to get it in???

  • Fucking HUGE!

  • Nice fish man...

  • wow.these guys must be rich, this kind of fishing is expensive

  • great job!!, much respect !!!

  • Yes I am a Seppo. And am proud in that we have protected our waters better than any other country in the world so that we can enjoy the ocean without it looking like a wasteland such as the Med or many Asian Countries.

This fish was one of only 7 fish speared in 8 years of diving in Indonesia and was taken to my friends restaurant in Downtown Kuta where we celebrated the life and death of a lifetime catch.

  • We don't mount fish. We do fish prints(gyotaka) and enjoy eating something we earned.

No bycatch. No pollution from lines or nets. We spend hundreds of hours and days in the water and take the exact fish we want while enjoying the marine world not abusing it or taking it for granted.

Enjoy your can tuna and Tilapia.

  • lol.. grats on the catch

  • And here you are telling me that this greedy yank is gonna feed the poor on many Islands! You have got to be Fucking kidding me! every inch of that fish will be wasted. He'll have a cast made and stick it on his wall! There two sides of the same coin dickhead, the Speary kills for fun, the longliner kills for money. Sure the longliner kills more but its carted off and sold. If anyone is better here the liners are, Spearies kill for a buzz, liners kill for a living. Get a grip asshole.

  • lol youre an idiot, telling someone to get a grip?!? GET A CLUE. if you think spearos are worse than commerical fisherman, you clearly are speaking with HUGE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. first off, i dont know a single spearo that just kills and throws the fish away without eating/selling it. you ever hear of bycatch? no you havent otherwise you would have never spoke. spearos are on a much MUCH more personal basis with the ocean and its fish than commerical fisherman are.

  • Holy shit Mcallan take a chillpill! Dude, what are you an encyclapedia about the ocean! It took you 4posts to mouth off at a guy who's just voicing an oppinion! And before you become all smart again you forgot one thing... Do you really think that guys gonna eat that fish? Its a Trophy, and you know it! And if that fish is 200lbs, then its probly 35-40yrs old! I worked on a longliner for 8yrs in the south pacific moron so i know what goes on!

  • if you know what goes on than you would know that 1 out of every 3 fish caught by commercial fisherman is bycatch. meaning 1 out of every 3 fish is killed for no reason and often discarded by commerical fisherman. and youre giving this guy shit, because you THINK he may turn it into a trophy, which he probably wont. you really need to take a second and put sometime into your thoughts... thinking spearos are worse than commerical fisherman... HAHA

  • why do you even bother responding to idots,

buddy enjoy life and thanks for the video

  • Get off your ass and and go travel the world. Stop getting all your information from left wing websites and the Discovery Channel. Go see for yourself what goes on in the world. Get on a dive boat. Go to the South Pacific and you will see what I've seen. Taiwanese factory tuna boats dumping tons of wahoo, dolphinfish, and even other types of tuna into the sea. Why? Because it wasn't on their work order! Smug westerner! Learn something about the world before spouting off!

    Fucking idiot.

  • And closer to home...what do you think happens to all that fish at your local grocery store? Do you ever stop to think about that? Most of it ends up in the trash. It doesn't even go to feed the poor, yet spearo fish does feed the poor on many islands. Are you boycotting any major grocery chains like Safeway or crying out about their practices? Why not? Easier to pick on fishermen? The fish that you so smugly chow down on results in a vast waste but that apparently doesn't bother you.

  • You know you are about as stupid as they come. I have suffered so many like you on diving and spearfishing trips. You don't have a clue what you are talking about. First, do you know how many fish are caught commercially as opposed to by sport fishermen or spearos? No, I expect not. 93% of all fish are caught by factory ships and a huge proportion of the fish they catch is thrown overboard. Had you ever travelled to the South Pacific and seen it you would know. Instead you just talk out your ass

  • First, great fish! Congratulations!

Second, for all the people who dis spearos and yet have no problem bellying up to the seafood buffet or buying factory farmed tuna from under a plate glass window in the grocery store, even though that results in millions of tons of bycatch being thrown dead into the sea every year....

Stupid hypocrites! Spearos take only what they need and eat all that they take. Fish caught in the South Pacific go to the islanders and they are grateful. So fuck off!

  • Must have been an epic battle!! We are lucky to shoot 30 lbs. Onos here in Hawaii!! Thanks for sharing!!

  • awesome catch man. i know ur not listening to the haters cause me and you both know spearfishing is a real mans sport. we cant argue with stupid. slay on!

  • catch and release. or was he planning to feed all of his family? i bet that ur an american. Killed all of ur ur buffalo, wolves etc. no respect for nature.

  • idk if you noticed, but this isnt a rod n reel video. its spearfishing. when you shoot a fish you never plan on releaseing it, cause its dead/dying. and of course he ate the whole damn thing. whats your prob with that?! and you better b a vegan to possibly get away with saying that. it was a wild animal who lived a full life, not some factory farm animal you buy from a store. on top of every thing the fish in the video is a PRIZE fish. top of the line meat.he would never let it go to waste

  • yeah, he ate the whole fish. whats a PRIZE fish. i supposed that all of the lions, elephants and all of the other animal species that were almost hunted to extinction were also PRIZE animals. I notice that he places the fish between his legs, "A Picture Speaks a Thousand Words". I rest my case!!!!!!!!!

  • what!?the fish was laying on his lap the whole time...its not like hes commercially targeting dogtooth tuna all year round trolling with 5-10 mile lines.you want to make a difference go target commercial industries. they take in the high 90's in percent of total game fish taken. so stop wasting your time on a guy who shot one fish were hes not even able to shoot the same specie locally. he shot one! and instead of shooting a bunch of the 50-100lbers he shot one big one!!thats conservation.

  • yeah well, i just hope that the next time that he goes spearfishing, he's eaten by a great white or he gets speared by a marlin.

  • fuck you fish killers what did they do to you!!

  • hacete culear vos! payaso ortiva!

  • did he confirm the weight?

  • good work brother, that fish was on God mode. unbelievable!

  • omg what if that jumped out of the boat!

  • Thing of Beauty!! well done!! It nice to think that there are monsters like that around and with a bit of luck they can chow some vegetarian monkeys like airhead.

  • guess any 1 objecting to spearfishing is a vego, in that case u don't count!

any 1 objecting to spearfishing that does eat meat needs to wake up, go to a slaughter house or a chicken farm.

taking 1 fish this way doesn't put a dent on a population like commercial fishing does and this is probably the quickest death these animals will get if u catch them on a rod u fight them for hours and they then die or if there taken buy a predator there eaten alive!

  • would of looked good when it was alive and swimming!!

  • lmao, dude, this is hilarious cool though

  • NICE MAN GOOD JOB

  • Hey seriously, beautiful catch, I couldn't have done it. It takes a hell of a lot of strength and endurance to spearfish. Good for you!

And as for the people who believe they are "protecting wild animals" by buying their fish from the store...it just goes to show how little people know about what they are sold.

I just think of all millions of fish the stores trash due to "expiration dates".

Whereas, I fish for and keep only what I will eat. The rest of the time I catch and release.

  • respect, your a good man.

  • you only go after something which is big and rare to inflate your ego; you are not an eskimo that has to fish. So your logic is crap. You're not as bad as the greedy factory trawlers, but killing something like this is cowardice.

  • Who asked you for your opinion?

Nobody as far as I can tell. Us fishermen are talking, and we feel no desire to hear the whiny voices of young dumb kids running your mouths about things you know nothing about.

So maybe go start your own videos of what you think about nothing. And then all of you annoying brat kids can direct your whiny, immature comments there, AND STOP FLAMING!

  • I have to make this my business, since your type are the serial killers, child molesters and psychopaths who destroy society. In other words the government should take steps to eliminate you criminals and the filthy family that didn't abort you.

  • Still Flaming, eh?

  • Great catch. Perhaps some people don't appreciate this, but I definitely prefer it to buying a steak from the shelf at the market. Beats using a high power rifle to kill an exotic trophy animal. Although there was a good point about the bioaccumulation of toxins in the top level predators. Not sure what's worse, the pesticides in veggies, hormones in livestock, or mercury in fish...we're all screwed. At least you're connected to your food. It doesn't magically appear at your store.

  • AWESOME!

Ive noticed alot of negative comments and all i have to say is nice fish man! People just dont understand how rewarding it is to hunt a monster like that and end up getting him AS WELL as eating it! Keep doing what your doing and have fun!

Deluxairhead is acting like you also killed a couple dolphins with that tuna.

  • airhead you need to shut your mouth. he worked for that fish, he didnt just kill it for fun. he held his breath, dove down and brought it up. maybe if you actually got off the computer once in a while and experience the 'outside world' you would understand. I spearfish too. every weekend, and i love it. go ahead and hate me too. k?

  • i totally agree. im not a spearfisher, but i do experience outdoor fishing with a rod. airhead is a computer nerd. and even though i don't spearfish, i can tell that took alot of strength to bring that back to the boat.

  • What a lame come back, by the way hope if he does eat it and I reckon he won't, it kills him with the amount of toxins in it's flesh, hahaha, who's laughing now asshole !

Big smiles from me, by the way hope you get to have some, all you like fuck knuckle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you would strengthen your own immune system sometime and stop hugging trees and molesting collies you might realize that we shoot fish to eat them. This fish went straight to the hands of 50 of our friends in Indonesia and they prepared it for us over the next few days in an incredible feast. Nothing goes to waste Airhead. Nice name by the way.

  • Just sitting here having my breakfast and came across this footage, are you fucking for real what a big man you are did you ever stop to wonder just what you've done take a look at your film and think for just 1 minute look at that fish how sad that you won't even eat it fuck me your a tool, yep it's amazing fish but you killed it haha, big man !!!!!!

  • he will eat it asshole shut your fuckin mouth

  • Dont cuss in Youtube videos little kids watch these im telling my mom You inconsiderate ASSHOLE :(

  • why are you guys calling him fake we took him out on our boat and he did good y do u think its fake, anyways cameron its riley

  • its soo fake

  • i have taken him out spearfishing and i got the biggest fish 49 pound gutted amberjack and then i showed him an amazing black it wasn't in it so he passed it nd let me shoot it go down to dive tropic and check out the picture if you live in key west

  • i got both posters of your tuna recors yellowfin and dogtooth

  • lol, sad idiot.

  • One Hell of a Tuna Sandwich!!!

  • the fish is excellent

  • "I dont even know what to #%@!( say". Just tell the truth that you were trolling and snagged it on a pole then lied that you speared it :).

  • dude......................u o me a new dogtooth

  • Great video, great story. Congrats!

  • hey cam,,,,you shot my pet

  • hey you shoot my pet

  • We never got that beer at DEMA Cameron. Sorry I missed you at the shop, and I hope you make it back.

Scientists confirm that fisher who have consumed Indonesian Dogtooth Tuna will have a greatly incidence of prostational lymphoma due to the high concentration of Spuncalitoric acid localized in the dark flesh of the postspawnal adults. Older fish have higher concentrations.

  • Michael, don't you have a tree to hug somewhere?

Nobody eats the dark flesh, what are stupid? All of the dark meat is cut away from the fillet. I think a person like you will probably die from stress-it causes all kinds of cancer and you are way to stressed about things. Why don't you spend your time and energy on "bigger fish" HAHA, get it?

  • I am relieved that you already knew about the dark fish meat. Good job and buddy fisher guys don't let their other buddies eat the bad bits.

I know it tastes better and that is the problem as legend has it.

  • Fucking BANG!!

    nice catch bro =D

  • oh wow buddy your my f,k,n hero,,,,uck u dick

  • obey you're an idiot. That guy is a great spearo...dude great catch, congrats

  • your a joke man that fish never even had a chance to spawn...up here in canada are bait is bigger then that .....come on buddy catch a real fish.....

  • Yeah, you're a fucking Dip shit man. I don't think they have dog tooth tuna up in Canada. As far as Dog tooth tuna go, That ones been spawning longer than you've been alive. And its about as real as fish get.

    fucking moron.

  • wicked sweet catch.

  • Awsome fish and story Cameron!! U and Roberto Ryes never stop amazing me! Keep up the good work! We young guns look up to yall! See ya on SB!

  • Cameron... great fish. For me that is my dream fish. Thanks for the story too. My buddies and I are heading up to the Coral Sea in 6 weeks on a 12 day live-aboard trip. I hope I see some fish like that.

  • Its great to finally see some of your stuff on here. Your a huge inspiration of mine. what a great fish. Great story on the IBSRC site as well. Keep it up!

  • Congrats mate, absolutely stunning fish.
