  • I'd be crying too if I was the greatest hockey player of all time, and my dumbass coach didn't put me into the game deciding shootout!

  • Now that's a Jagr Mullet!

  • I never saw the crying.

  • ALso remember going into this tournament the the favourites to win were Canada, USA, and Sweden and none of them even ended up with a medal of any colour.

  • Remember how cool those Roots hats were for a very brief period of time??

  • Jagr is cool :)!!

Reporter - is this on of your absolute highlights?

Jagr - one of them, one of them :)

Yea, stanley cup 91 and 92, olympic gold 1998, world champion 2005 and 2010. Art Ross Trophy (most points) 5 times, Hart Trophy (MVP) once.

One of the best players ever.

  • @milanSK1980 -Take se me libi ,jake dal vecne a uvolnene interview:-) Jagr je perla ,dlouhe haro a detsky usmev :-) a stale je jeden z lepsich hracu v NHL .- ve 40 letech .

  • way to talk about if our gold medal was deserved. Quaterfinals with USA-first period USA much more better we were lucky having Hasek. But than it turned out and we played better and won the match with 3 goal difference. Semifinals- for the whole match czech team was better. Finals- Russian team did not have spirit, great individualities i trully love Bure but not team.

  • Great memories for me. I was about 16, during the czech games there were not lessons and teachers arguing with each other who will be in the class with TV set :D. Regarging to this times it was coming of golden times. This team had a huge spirit and what is more it wasnt just about NHL players- who knew about Hejduk,Prochazka,Rucinsky? I think since around that times till about 2001, 2002 czech leaugue was considered second best- better than sweden, russian. And come on people there is no

  • @honzas23 - good for you ,I was 22 and had to work in state of Mississippi ,cleaning floor at Walmart store for some polish mafia guys ,who paid 1700 $ a month with no tax ..,a lot for 1998 Czech Republic - 88 000 kc a month was a good money ,but very hard work every night.anyway ..we Czechs saw the match ,got a one beer and went to work ..- nobody knew about hockey there, blacks thought they playing on glass ,not the ice.:-)we told them, hey dude,-same ice ,as in your fridge !.i di dnot enjoy it

  • Euro hockey is soft, and takes advantage of that bullshit IIHF in the Spring. S'all bout the Olympics and World Cup of Hockey. Even USA is better.

  • @pchoooooooo USA is just better with their EGO but not by playing hockey. Anyway the true is that times has changed a lot and i dont expect czech time in the future winning olympics or World cup.

  • Jagr and Hasek were unbelievable in those Olympics.

  • The Czechs showed NO respect for Canada in the 2002 round robin. Who won the Gold? Canada. 2010 luck? Gold, Canada. Whatever. Watch Gretzky's press conference after the Czech game in 2002. A proud Canadian.

  • @mpsandal 2002 was pure luck for Canada

  • @Flowerpunkt And how do you figure that? The only BIT of luck they got was when Belarus beat out Sweden (because I was convinced Sweden was the best team in that tournament up until that fluke loss). If we had of played Sweden in the semi final, it MAY HAVE changed the course of history. But that is also just a lot of "ifs" and "buts". I feel Canada was destined to win in 2002. From the slow start, right up to the domination in the gold medal game. It might as well of been written in the stars.

  • @mpsandal Don't give us that bullshit. Not a single Czech had a problem admitting you were simply better.

However, same couldn't have been said about you during the WC 2005. Ryan Smythe anyone?

  • There was no beating Hasek that day. Gretzky would have choked like the rest of them. It was our day, live with it.

  • hasek was sooo lucky canada's coaches were too dumb to put him in the shootout

  • The funny thing is in all the years of NHL players playing in the olympics 1998 was probably are best round robin!!!

  • ten šedivej je pěkně na..... a nemůže to kousnout... hold Kanada neumí prohrávat, ale to víme

  • IT was clear answer to CAnada, it is not only your game. 2006 was gold again outside fo Canada. In 2010 it was luck with US, I respect CAnada team, they are still best, but its like I believe, that they win 50% of tournaments, but definitely not all or most of them now. It is not like before 30 or 50 years.

And DON, if there is rule, then respect it, noone cares about your opinion, Canadian cups were always in the spirit of canadian rules, CANADA is not only one in the world.

  • @volyn Dont try and compare czech hockey to canadian hockey...........Czechs are nowhere close to canada

  • @armatageshanks06 I agree, we are in europe

  • @armatageshanks06 yes, czechs are better

  • @volyn 2010 was luck with the US? The only reason that game wasn't like 10-2 was cus of Miller's oustanding play. The Russians were clearly the 2nd best team in those Olympics and Canada defeated them 7-3 in the quarter final.

  • @gymguy25 Russia ? Are you kidding me? You can't compare teams quality on number of superstars basis. Team russia has no spirit since communist era. They are not better then Sweden,Czech republic, Finnland, USA and CAnada, because they can't fight for the team, like it was usual in 70s-80s when they were drilled in neverending sadistic hockey camps somewhere in no one land.
